Question about Culligan Sediment Water Filter

1 Answer

I have a house filter system. It has been cleaning itself or whatever it does for several hours now. The screen shows E1. This has happened before, and I know there's a fairly simple way to fix it, but I don't remember. How do I reset it?

Unplug it for 1 minute and plug it back in. You will need to reset the settings after ward. The valve is sticking in position and running to drain. A typical regeneration will take about an hour and forty five minutes. You need to call Culligan it probably needs a new sealpack.

My air conditioner showing on the display is E1

The E1 Error Code The most common reason for an E1 error code to be displayed on your air conditioner's front panel is to remind you that the unit's air filter needs to be cleaned. Many models will automatically notify you of this via an E1 error code display after the unit has been operated for a predetermined number of hours. For example, many Sharp models will display an E1 code after 720 hours of use. Alternatively, you could have dirt or moisture in your front button controls, causing them to stick or not function properly. This can be a common problem with many models of Haier air conditioners, but the issue is not restricted to any one manufacturer. Your air conditioner could also have a defective thermistor, which is part of the thermostat.

For Samsung, the room thermistor needs replacing. This is a device that senses the temperature in the room.

E1 shows and i unplug the unit and it will run for about 2mins and shut down with e1 showing

The E1 error code indicates that the air intake filter is dirty or clogged and needs to be removed and cleaned. Turn the unit OFF & unplug it, before removing the filter. Never operate the unit without the filter in place. Doing so, can damage the unit.

Hope this helped you & thanks for choosing FixYa.

Lint Filter Light comes on and cycle is interupted

Depending on how old this is or how much it is used depends how much lint has built up inside
the air flow tube. I have seen where you look inside where the lint screen is and beneath it with screen removed there is nothing but lint, in which case the dryer thinks the screen is clogged. You might have two screws on the inside of the drum that hold the screen holder in place. First remove the lint screen
and hold the little door that closes when you remove the screen, open the little door and look down inside it with a flash light, if you see a lot of lint, like I said you might be able to remove the holder
and clean this area out, also take a coat hanger and bend a little piece at the end and use this to get most of the lint out of this area and the tube that Leeds down from this area. If this can be done
and you get this area clean and it still happens, you might have to clean the entire area the tube
and the back tube, the tube leeding to the outside of the house and vent. Any questions please post back.

"Cool" mode shuts off

An E1 error is automatically generated after the AC runs for so many hours to remind you to clean the filter. The owners manual says to clean the filter and unplug the unit, then plug unit back in and code will be reset. However, a User review stated that his code was not reset until he followed a fairly simple routine. "Unplug the unit. Hold down the power button and plug back in. Wait to hear a "beep" and then unplug it again. Plug unit in again and it should restart without E1 code."
