Question about GE JGRS14 Gas Single Oven
During cooking cycle oven suddenly stopped heating. No gas smell, no fault codes on control panel. Can't remove temp sensor to check. How can I troubleshoot this?
Are you getting anything anymore or nothing now?
If you can only get a pilot in the main oven - and no more, There will be a thermocouple (hot wire) sitting on this. This will provide a signal to turn on the main valve. As a first step, Check the resistance of the main valve, as if the coil fails , it will shut off. In which case it will be open circuit.
If the valve is fine, the hot wire temperature sensor probably need replacement, as this gives instruction to turn the gas valve on.
Check your gas supply is still connected.
