Dear Minolata user,
Caution : If this product makes loud noise or smells of unusual odor, immediately switch OFF the power switch and unplug the power source as it may result in electric shock or fire
The common reason for such a nuisance made by this product is because of the stepper motor's heating up or malfunctioning.
Another cause could be the excessive shifting of the layers.(Usually occurs on the Y-axis)
- Loose Belt
- Broken belt clamps
- Stepper Motor/Driver failure
- Loose drive gear or obstruction
In case you are planning to fix it yourself you will need the service manual, lemme know in case you need it, however its available on the internet.
My advice will be calling the techs and having them to look at it.
Wish you the best!
I am using Vista 64 and a 2300DL in the same manner as abertola003. I downloaded the Latest driver from Konica Website and everything is working well. the driver is named Konica-Minolta 2300DL (unidrv)
I just had the same problem with my 5430DL. It was a bad toner cartridge. The bad cartridge is at 73% full, and had not been a problem until recently. I had been troubleshooting and finally remembered that I had the old cartridge with toner still left. I swapped them out and no more ghosts. Swapped back and the ghosts came back. I have ordered another new toner cartridge and fully expect the problem to be resolved.
