It's a standard 50mm 12v pc fan. You can find a similar one in almost every pc shop. It just plugs in.

I have a HPDV9000 Laptop and it is making a terrible loud noice, very annoying. Starts when turned on. What can it be. Thank you.

More than likely it's one of the cooling fans. They spin at relatively high RPM and if they're damaged they can emit a loud whirring or screeching noise. If it's a clicking noise then it could be your hard drive failing.

Cooling fan will not shut off continued even after ignition key is off and removed, and small black box in front of battery keeps making a clicking noice

That would be the relay box, remove the lid and remove the relay that controls the cooling fan circuit. and that would be the one making the clicking noise. It will probably be very hot, If you have pulled the right one the cooling fan will turn off. Replace it with a new one. Should be fine now, however in the event that the problem does not go away then replace the engine coolant temperature sensor. Good Luck From Ernie @ RedDeer, Alberta, Canada.

I have a powersuppliefan that make a lot of noice. My question is: is it possible to replace the fan with a new and more quiet on? I have a zepto d47v

You can replace the fan. Most are 120mm at 120VAC. I would advise against it unless you know what you are doing. Power supplies can carry a charge even though they are disconnected. Better off replacing the power supply.

Intel p4 3.0ghz with 800fsb fan makes more noice

Hello Prask, Cooling the Intel's LGA775 CPU presents quite a challenge due to it's high operating temperatures, and while the ideal solution would be to use water, not all of us are ready to make the jump. The best solution I found for an easy replacement of the stock cooler is nMEDIAPC ICECONE Pure Copper CPU Cooler. It is an easier install than Thermaltake, and is just as quiet. You can find it here for the best price: http://www.directron.com/icecone.html Let us know if you need any additional assistance. Best regards, nightdiver
