If it is still sparking, then the motor armature could be worn, or a segment missing, also there is a wrong and right way to fit the brushes, make sure you have them the right way round.

My bushings are going and I was wondering if I have to replace the whole axle with the bushings or if I can just replace the bushings?

axles and bushings are two totally different things. when you say bushings I think of upper and lower control arms that have bushing pressed in by machines that can be pressed out the old ones and press in the new bushings. Axles I think of constant velocity joints and boots which also can be replace with new ones.

please tell me what you are asking?

You should go speak to an employee of lowes or home depot or maybe even an appliance store in your area...
Explain to them what has happened and will be able to help you and tell you which replacement you may need...
It's likely to be a fuse or burnt wiring..
Also check the breaker in your home...

I hope this helps....

Replace rear swaybar bushings

Yes, it is quite easy. These bushings are a very common source of rear end rattles. Remove the bushing retainers, replace the bushing, and then the retainers and bolts. Torque is low, 14 ft-lb

Front end bushings what are they how are they

Well there are stabilizer bar bushings, control arm bushings and strut mount bushings. The stabilizer bushings are usally bolted around the the stabilizer bar and attach to the frame. The control arm bushings are usally pressed into the control arms. The strut mount bushings are on top of the struts. Normally they are replaced as needed. The strut mount bushings are good to do when replacing the struts.

Control arm bushings

Special tools are required. Definitely not for the novice. An alignment will be needed after the required work is performed

No power on key

There's a gas module located above the spare tire . This is famous for shorting out causing the problems I described and blowing a fuse in the panel, the fuse number is f43 which causes the vehicle to shut down, Hope this helps someone else. Thanks

2004 Nissan Quest front control arm bushing replacement.

Sorry guys not a solution but I too have an 04 Quest, which supposedly has worn controller arm bushings and Nissan says I need both controller arms replaced. For a total of $950!!! I was told that they need to replace the whole arm and cannot replace only the bushings. Now reading the posts on this site I find that to be untrue. Seems all I need to spend is anywhere from $25 to $35 per bushing.
