Question about Garden

1 Answer

I can't pull the start rope on my redmax backpack blower. I've only had it a couple of months and the last time i used it, i used it until it ran out of gas. It turned a little colder and hasn't been used for about a month. Any suggestions?

Remove the spark plug to see if that makes it easy to pull the starter. If it does, then pull the cord rapidly several times with the throttle wide open to expel excess fuel. If no help, then suspect that the engine was run without proper oil mixed into the fuel--remove the muffler and look at the piston and cylinder wall for severe scoring. If it is, the piston, ring(s), and cylinder will need to be replaced--an expensive repair because warranty will not cover damage of this type! Hope this helps!

If there is no compression can this be fixed

thinking is not a fact. pull plug wire off, pull starter rope. do you have pulses of resistance? Yes, =compression good enough. No, = expensive repairs(new head and/or piston)

Broken pull rope on 125BT Backpack Blower

Most small engine shops and big box stores like home depot sell generic replacement starter rope. If you want the exact part from Husqvarna, there are 2 engine variations for the 125BT. The rope for the AC57 enigne is part# 531009567, the rope for the AC55 engine is part#531009653.

CRANK ROPE IS IN A BIND OR STUCK

Hi, if you remove the recoil housing you have a good chance of freeing the rope if it's bound. Try pulling the rope to see where it's tangled and use a screw driver to pry it loose. Good luck.

Stihl backpack blower starter rope is pulling harder and harder. When it dose pull it starts right up.

See if your rope pulley is opening up and allowing rope to double over on itself. When this happens the rope will wedge in pulley causing it to pull hard.

The best way to start cold husqv leaf blower 145

Most of the small outdoor power equipment that I have used takes the following to start:

1. Prime 6-8 times, or whatever the manual calls for.

2. Choke the carb to full choke.

3. Pull starter rope. It may sputter and die.

4. After it sputters and dies, put the choke on 1/2. Pull a time or 2 more and should start. Run like that 10 seconds or so, then take choke all the way off.

Weed wacker worked fine a week ago. tried to start it up today and nothing happens. I followed step by step instructions and still got nothing. Only had it a year and only used it three times.

I have a two month old red max weedwacker that just decided to start shutting off when i give it gas. I hold idle no problem. Aircleaner=good, spark=checked, primer=good, dumped fuel and got same problem, I am upset because when redmax hit the scene with the backpacks they were solid. I just replaced a magneto on a year old red max blower and I am waiting on a crankshaft for a redmax set of gas shears: I hit a fence and in the past with other companies shears that was not a major problem. The redmax shears crankshaft broke and sheared two bolts of hardened steel on an irregular, recessed angle in the aluminum housing. After shelling out 450 bucks i am not the happy camper. I went old school and bought electric little wonders--know what: I forgot what a pleasure they were: light and no fumes. Any helpon the whip would be greatly appreciated. Someone ran gas instead of 2-cycle in leaf-blower; now locked up

It's probably dead. If the rope won't pull buy another and keep it for parts, the repair bill will be more than it costs. Spray some wd- 40 in the spark plug hole and let it sit for a couple days, IF it frees up you got lucky but don't expect it.
