Turn ur camera on your phone or use a real camera, point the remote at the camera lens and press a button, you should see a flash on the screen of the phone/camera, if you do not, the remote isn't outputing and needs fixing or replacement.

Could be the remote receiver board or the cable that goes to it or the mainboard that processes the signal. perhaps time to take it to a TV tech...

Try removing the batteries, pressing all of the remote control's buttons, and installing fresh batteries. On researching this, it appears that the remote control you were provided may not be the one intended for use with your TV. You may return to the place of purchase for further assistance or, alternatively, a replacement remote can be purchased here.

Make sure you have new batteries.
Make sure batteries are in the correct way.
It is easy to put them in backwards and not realize it, so triple check everything.
People also, quite often, have batteries in a drawer and think they are new, when they actually are not.
Also, make sure little red LED that sends the signal is not blocked or pushed into the remote.
Make sure receiver sensor on fan is not blocked from the remote's signal.

If this helps you, please select YES to one of the first two ratings questions. Thank you, and Good Luck.
