    The watch still says OPEN when I screw on cover

You are missing one of the three small springs that sit in the body of the watch. The top two are needed to let it know it is closed.

Check to see if the back is screwed on upside down and is thus naot making the correct contact.

Hi i have a casio data bank watch DB-E30-1AV. this has a peculiar problem. even in fully charged state the watch gets reset to year 2000 and then it has to be set again!!! why would this happen?????

Battery change

I received a message from a member of the group suggesting a solution to the problem.  I followed his advice and the problem was solved.  My thanks to him and to the group for the assistance.
Now I need a manual for the Casio CBX-102.  This will be a gift to my grandson who is attending college and needs to understand how to use the Data Bank.   If anyone can suggest a source for the CBX-102 Data Bank watch I'd appreciate it.

Casio databank - data memory 350

I think it said in the manual that you had to use metal tweezers to reset the thing. Check the manual again under the changing battery section.
