Well your LCD supports 1680x1050 resolution.
You have to check the video/ graphics card of your PC, if it supports the same resolution or not. Let me know the model no. and your motherboard details for a better assistance.

Looking forward for your response

I bough the LCD model VA2231w- LED every time I turn it on then it pop up that change the resoluyion to 1920/ 1080P I don't know how to do it. So please help. Thanks Thai Nguyen

This would be the Native resolution. That your display functions and displays best in.
Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7.
(1) RIGHT mouse click over your desktop.
lightdark_0.jpg
Windows XP will differ - but same basic idea to navigate and make this fix.
Pictures show from a Windows Vista Machine (extremely similar to Windows 7)
(2) Click Display settings
lightdark_1.jpg
(3) Now you'll see a slider bar, Native Computer Display 1680x1050 resolution.
Some computers can not support this resolution and may cause non operational situations.
If the display setting is not on the slider bar. Chances would be that it's not a supported Resolution.
"Older computer" If the display doesn't show while trying different resolutions - do not click apply and wait. the screen will return to it's previous setting. ViewSonic VX2235 has a Setting that could be used to Disable this annoying message - Revert to ViewSonic lightdark_2.jpg

I connected my ps3 to my viewsonic vx2235wm and it says out of range or wont have a picture

The PS3 video output setting is too high for the monitor to handle, native resolution for this Viewsonic is 1680x1050. Try running the PS3 at 640x480 first and start changing the resolution to higher level.

Monitor display wont go higher than 1280 x 720

if your system installed the correct driver to the new monitor or used a dafault driver to run it, this is what you want your system to do to run your old monitor. un install the driver from your system and remove the drivers to a temp folder. reinstall monitor to use a default driver to check it.

if you have the original install disk use that driver instead.

I'm not a advocate of automatic windows updates. if it works fine leave it be.

The CD contain Camera Assistant Software is only 18M, which is an executable file. The software is not too impressed to me. The other CD is the driver disc. It also has a pdf owner's manual and the Adobe reader 4.0

Can't set 1680x1050 resolution on viewsonic monitor

I found the solution for my problem.
Initially I thought it's a monitor problem and was trying to find the drivers for it.
The problems is not with my monitor but with the video adapter I use.

My video adapter has a intel chipset (Mobile Intel(R) 965 Express Chipset Family). Apparently the driver that I was using was quite old.

The only thing I had to do is:
1. Download the latest video adapter driver
2. Uninstall the current video adapter driver
3. Restart the system (Windows XP)
4. Install the new driver.
5. Restart the system.

I just bought a viewsonic vx2240w. When I change the resolution to 1680x1050 the page becomes too wide for the screen. I have to scroll left and write just to see it.

This sounds like an issue with the windows driver for your video card. I have to load the viewsonic driver for my monitor first and make sure the device monitor is showing the vx2235 and not default monitor. Then make sure your video board will support the 10 x 16 format and check for any settings about horizontal scrolling. If you are running an ATI card, get the latest version of the Catalyst drivers from their web site. Hope this helps.

Cannot get correct resolution

1. It could be limitation of your video card. Older cards would not support high resolution for LCD monitors.
2. Be sure to use DVI(digital) output from your video card. You will not get a good resolution with VGA(analog)
3. When installing driver for a monitor sometimes you will get a chose to install analog(VGA) or digital(DVI) driver. Choose the correct driver.

Good luck!
