Question about Kingston (DTIU3/2GB) 2 GB USB Hard Drive
My pendrive is write protected please give me solution to remove write protected

I am Michelle, and i will be assisting you regarding the issue
Please click Start..Click Run...Type diskmgmt.msc and click OK
In the Disk Managemnet window that opens.Right Click on the pendrive and select Format.
In the window that pops up...set the file system nto NTFS and allocation size to default.
Please ensure that the 2 entries below with the checkboxes are not checked and click OK.
Now check if you are able to use the pendrive or not
in case not try the below steps
Click Start...Click Run.. Type Regedit and clcik ok.
In the registry editor window that opens ...navigate to the below path
Find the entry for Storage device policies
In case you are able to find it ...right click on it and click new and then Dword value.
Set the value to 0.
In case you were unable to find the Storage device policies entry...right click on the control entry and then click New and then Key. Name the Key as Write protect and then click ok
Now right clcik on Write protect and clcik new and then Dword value.
Set the value to 0.
Once done click Ok and close the registry editor window.
Restart the computer once for the change to take effect.
The above should be able to fix the issue.
