The Ieshims.dll is a 32/64-bit Dynamic Linked Library of code components for a graphics User Interface style application. This process is safe and disabling it is dangerous since programs in your computer need it for working correctly. There is no known risks associated to this file unless it is modified by virus. It can be downloaded from the internet.

Common Causes of ieshims.dll Errors:
a. This file was removed when a program was uninstalled.
b. Overwriting of this file with an older version or with a version that is incompatible with other programs.
c. Incomplete or unsuccessful installation of a program.
d. Corruption of the file due to virus infection or hardware failures.

Caution: Installing / uninstalling software and modifying system components may leave your system registry fragmented with obsolete, corrupted or harmful files.

Your computer will not work properly if a Windows Dynamic-Link Library (.dll) file is damaged or missing. When this happens, you will receive an error message similar to this: "[program name] Illegal system DLL relocation."
The .dll file type contains instructions, or code, to run scripts that open dialog boxes.
These important graphical elements are necessary for computer user interaction in most software programs.
There is a simple way to keep all of your .dll files healthy, so you rarely lose valuable time restoring lost or broken links.
Connect your computer to the Internet.
Click "Start" and then click "Run" if you have the Windows XP operating system. For other systems, simply open Internet Explorer and click "Safety," then click "Windows Update."
Type "wupdmgr" in the "Run" dialog box to run Microsoft Update.
Click "Express" to find out if your computer requires new updates.
Press "Install Updates" if any are available.
Otherwise, close the Microsoft Update window.
Update your anti-virus program and then immediately scan all of the files on your computer.
Open the software program that gave the .dll notice to see if error messages still occur.
If so, continue to the next step.
Reinstall the affected software program to replace the damaged or missing .DLL file.
If the issue is still not resolved, contact Microsoft Support.

Nikon transfer download problem

You need to manually register the DLL, by following the instructions at this URL:
http://ss64.com/nt/regsvr32.html

You will be using REGSVR32. You may need to unregister the DLL first, then Register it from scratch.

Good luck!

My problem is I have a printer and I cannot install it because the file wiafdrv.dll on windowsxp home editon cd-rom is needed an do not have one.

Do you have a Lexmark printer? I found this dll file and many of the comments about it relate to Lexmark printer issues. Click the below link and it will download your missing dll file. I searched for "wiafdrv.dll" and there were no hits for this dll, but there was one for the dll file "wiafbdrv.dll". Make sure before clicking the link below, that this is the correctly named dll file you need.

http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/wiafbdrv.zip?0VFiP0aMgO

Extract this file and place the dll file in the correct location as specified by the error you're receiving.

Fixing Internet Explorer Javascript Links

Sometimes in IE when you try to open links that open in new windows, they don't open. At the bottom left of the IE window you will see a yellow triangle which indicates its a Javascript problem.
  1. Start » Run » Type regsvr32 /s URLMON.dll
  2. Then do the same but change the DLL names to the following:

    scrrun.dll
    Msxml.dll
    Mshtml.dll
    Shdocvw.dll
    Browseui.dll
    Msjava.dll
    Actprxy.dll
    Jscript.dll
    Vbscript.dll
    oleaut32.dll
  3. Restart IE and your links should be fine.
  4. Alternatively you can copy this in to a text file and save it as a batch file (.bat file)

    regsvr32 /s scrrun.dll
    regsvr32 /s Msxml.dll
    regsvr32 /s Mshtml.dll
    regsvr32 /s Shdocvw.dll
    regsvr32 /s Browseui.dll
    regsvr32 /s Msjava.dll
    regsvr32 /s URLMON.dll
    regsvr32 /s Actprxy.dll
    regsvr32 /s Jscript.dll
    regsvr32 /s Vbscript.dll
    regsvr32 /s oleaut32.dll
  5. This will re-register all the DLL files. All of the above are used by IE.
