Question about Canon DR-9080C Path-Through Scanner

Problem with Canon DR9080C scanner and Capture Perfect 3.0 softwere

We bought a new Canon DR9080C scanner which came with the Capture Perfect 3.0 software. The initial test run work fine but now whenever I try to scan (even a single page the software gives me the folder size warning and after avoiding that warning it scans but the software stuck in processing the image and never complete it.

Do you have enough disk space? Check if your C; drive has enough space. Normally C: is used as 'scratch area'. Try scanning intoa different location.

Which settings have you tried? Did you attempt to enhance the Red settings? What program are you using?

Each machine has settings built in for color drop out and color enhancement, If you are using the free Capture Perfect software, there is a setting in the where you make the enhancement or drop out changes.

Can't change dpi or mode in scanner settings on capture perfect 3.0


Remove & re-install 9080 driver & Capture Perfect if the driver doesn't fix the issue. Verify you have Administrative rights to the computer as well

I hava a canon dr-2010c scanner. but when I scan the paper through capture touch 2.0 than scanning very fine but when I scan through capture perfect 3.0 than show black page scanning.


Normally it is advisable to use only one Scanning Software. The software has various files which may overwrite the previously installed version. The later version works good.

It is also possible that the brightness/contrast settings in Captureperfect 3 is not proper. Try scanning after altering these.

Capture barcode at scanner Canon Dr 9080C


You will need to purchase the CD "Canon Barcode Module III" and install it on your computer: Mfg. Part: 1922B001
Then you can select it in Canon's document scanning software/Capture Perfect.

Canon DR-1210C scanner does not work with Capture Perfect software


you can download and Install Twain driver for this model and you can scan from Any Image Editor like photoshop and Acrobat PDF editor

I bought a new com. and now I can't find my instal. cd for my Canon Scanner D646Uex. Is there a way to obtain one please?


I have many years experience repairing Canon scanners so here is my suggestion for you.

You can contact Canon directly and Im sure they will be happy to sell you one. Or if you just need to get the scanner back up and running again here is what I would do. Just google Canon CanoScan D646U drivers. A page should come up that takes you to the official Canon website. Download the latest drivers for your scanner they are free. While your there download Capture Perfect its software you can use for scanning and its free too. Make sure your scanner cable is unplugged from your computer install the new drivers and rehook up the cable with the scanner powered on. A window should pop up saying a new device or drivers are being installed. Once that completes reboot(restart) your computer and you should be good to scan now.

I have VISTA, A DR2580C and Capture Perfect 3. When I select Capture 3 a message comes up "Scanner is not found check cable" I previously installed Capture Perfect 3 then upgraded it using the Cannon...


Hey...dont get me wrong...we all make mistakes...am sorry again for that mistake...

if you are intrested try this way again...

> goto device manager > right click that is yellow > select uninstall driver > and repeat it to the other named something scanner

and > do again the installation again (what i told you in chat) for all yellow flags > restart windows >

Scanner command invalid in current state


I have not used CapturePerfect 3.0. Hope the scanner is just fine. Try count only mode to check if it is okay.

Uninstall Captureperfect. Run chkdsk/scandisk to check if OS is ok. Reinstall Captureperfect again and it should work.
