Question about HP OfficeJet 6110 All-In-One InkJet Printer

Align cartridges I get an error messe to press enter to align cartridges, when I press enter a page starts to feed through then jams. Message to clear the jam then press enter. I press the enter key, which then feeds the paper through, but then the message goes back to press enter to align cartridges. It seems to be stuck in a programing loop? I can still print things, but only after trial and error.

    I put in new ink cartridges. It said to hit enter to align cartridges.
    It continually says the alignment fails.
    I was able to copy a paper. But when finished, it says to hit enter and align cartridges. It won't stop saying to do this.
    What to do??

    I keep getting the error message that the cartridges are not aligned and to press enter.  It doesn't matter mow many times I do this, the message keep repeating itself.  I've powered down and it doesn't help.

    After replacing an ink cartridge, the "press enter to align cartridges" message continues to show and no matter how many times we try to align it keeps repeating the error message.

Hi ,
can u cet alignment print from u r printer if u get this printer .
please put this print on scanner & press scann button for scanning ........it will automaticaly align u r cartridges & printer will get ready for printing ......

What this light sequence means that the printer has a paper jam.

When a paper jam occurs, the printer stops and the operator panel's Paper Jam light and Continue button lights come on. Press and release Continue twice quickly to display the specific secondary error paper jam light sequence.


How to clear Paper Jam

Press Continue button twice quickly to see the secondary error code.


To get the secondary error codes

When the Error light (!) and Continue button lights are both on, a secondary error has occurred.

When the Paper Jam light (4th light) and Continue button lights are both on, a paper jam secondary error has occurred.

Press and release Continue button twice quickly to display the secondary error code light sequence.


Press Continue button to resume printing once all the jammed pages are cleared from the paper path.

We recommend that you clear the entire paper path when a paper jam occurs.


To clear a paper jam:


1 If you are feeding paper from a tray, remove the tray, and then remove any jams.

2 Open the front cover and remove the print cartridge assembly.

NOTE: Do not leave the print cartridge assembly exposed to direct light for an Extended period of time. Extended light exposure can cause print quality problems.

3 Remove any jams in the area behind the print cartridge assembly.

4 Lift the flap at the front of the printer and remove any jams beneath the flap.

5 Open the rear exit and remove any jams.

6 After you have cleared the jams, reinstall the print cartridge assembly, make sure all printer covers and trays are closed, and then press Continue button to resume printing.

NOTE: The printer reprints the pages that caused the paper jam.

Cannot clear error message "Document


Hi nigel_lester,

This error message "Document in ADF" that you are getting means that you need to remove foreign object from the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF). Kindly follow the procedure below in clearing document jams:

Document jams in the ADF (Document Tray)

1. First, press Stop/Reset.
2. If a multi-page document is loaded, remove any documents other than the jammed page from the ADF. 3. Then, open the Feeder Cover.
4. From under the roller to the Feeder Cover side, remove the jammed page.
5. If a document is not jammed, check the document feed area if there's foreign material. If there's any, carefully remove it.
6. Close the Feeder Cover.

NOTE:
  • If documents remain in the ADF after pressing during scanning, [Document in ADF] will appear on the LCD. Press so that the remaining document is automatically fed out.
  • When rescanning the document after clearing the error, rescan it from the first page.

Document jams in the ADF (inner side)

1. Press Stop/Reset.
2. If a multi-page document is loaded, remove any documents other than the jammed page from the ADF, then open the Feeder Cover.
3. Raise the paper release lever (A) then remove the jammed page from under the roller to the Feeder Cover side.
4. Open the Document Cover and pull out the document from the inner side.
5. Close the Document Cover.
6. Close the Feeder Cover.

Note: When rescanning the document after clearing the error, rescan it from the first page.

As soon as I started using recycled ink cartridges, I started getting a paper jam error on my printer. The control panel message instructs me to remove the back panel and clear paper jam. I've done this several times but there is no paper to clear and the message keeps coming back. I've tried turning of the printer and unplugging it to clear the memory, but that doesn't help. Could it be that the chip on the ink cartridge is messing with the printer's operating system?

Error message carriage jam and/or paper jam


Often a carriage jam is caused by a paper jam. If you're getting a carriage jam message and a paper jam message, this video should help.

Not working see bottom


Check your entire feed to make sure there is NO paper jams. Sometimes even the smallest little piece of paper can get jammed up and can e hard to see.
You can also check your manual for diagnostic mode and alignment print page.

Carriage Jam


Make sure you can move the print cartridge holder freely and that it isn't being blocked by anything inside the printer, also check if the cleaning station is in the right position, maybe it is locking the cartridges.
