Question about Brother Printers & Copiers

4 Answers

Re: MFC-425CN I recently changed all four ink catridges. However, the computer screen shows that the yellow catridge only is still nearly empty, with the result that I am unable to print anything (even just a black only text) and incoming faxes. I have again replaced the yellow ink catridge, but with the samde result. Your assistance please.

The problem may be due to that ,the ink you used may be a duplicate one and also after filling ink you should use it immediately , if you leave that for a long period then also this problem will occur

Check the dates on the cartridges, also remove them, power up. power down put them back, it should ask have you replaced the carts select yes, it should do a cleaning and should work again.

you may also try reseating them on by one.

Ink system failure, won't reset, won't respond to cleaning

Hello,

The "Ink System Failure" error is causes by air in the ink feed tubes. We have a step by step guide purging the air from the feed tubes posted on our web site. Go to our site at: www.ccl-la.com , click on the printer repair link and then the HP link. Follow the steps and you should be back printing in no time at all.

I hope this helps, If so please rate our solution.

Operating problem as described below

unplug mfc from power outlet. take all carts out and leave scanner open. wait a minute. replug to power. wait until machine demands carts. insert one after another and ANSWER display! Close cover.

NEVER change cart until mfc stopps printing (near empty is a reminder to buy new ones :-))

Brother MFC-640CW Replaced Black catridge becomes empty

Compatible carts do make a lot of trouble. One point is the draining! The ink has flown into the cart assy and beyond that to the bottom of the printer. As long as you can print without problems you dont have to do anything. If the test pages wont show the correct color you have to open the printer and to clean the assy and the bottom.

Do use original ink carts though these wont drain and give correct info to printer. You can very simple refill them with dye ink. Dye ink only!!!
