Question about Toshiba Qosmio F25-AV205 Notebook
I know exactly what you mean with the blinking cursor. It comes right after the computer has done the self test routine and detected the memory, drives etc.
So it sounds like it doesn't find the hard drive - or its trying to start from the hard drive but its unable to.
You would have to use the windows installation disc for your machine or recovery disc to restore the machine to factory defaults. if that does not help or the hard drive is not detected, its most likely faulty, a new hard drive will cost around 50$ out of warranty.
It can be replaced quite easily from the bottom of the machine its under one of the covers that open with a few screws.
but if you are not experienced in computers, if you are just a normal home user and you don't have a windows installation disc or such didn't come with the computer, possibly the easiest way for you to get this fixed is to take it to a repairer. BUT if you want to fix it yourself of course I will provide you with instructions.
Let me know what you plan to do.
