If you have the Dell recovery CD then you can boot up with this CD and re-install Windows. This will restore the Dell back to the factory default.
If you do not have this CD then you can order on from Dell.

How to hard reset or factory reset T-Mobile G1 phone

Hard reset or Factory reset will restore the phone back to its factory settings; the way it was when it was first bought or the way it was when it left the factory.
Note that this will erased the entire phone's memory (NOT memory card) and settings to the way it was when it was first bought.

How to hard reset or factory reset T-Mobile G1 phone:

  1. Switch off your G1. *If it won't your phone won't switch off, take out the battery and reinsert it after a few seconds.
  2. Now press the 'Power' key and 'Home' key at the same time and hold it for 20-25 seconds.
  3. Then you will see on your screen a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark in the middle.
  4. After that, press 'Alt+L' key on the QWERTY keyboard (to clean the phone completely).
  5. Next, press 'Alt+W' key (to factory reset it)
  6. Again, press and hold 'Power' key and 'Back' key at the same time for 20-25 seconds.
  7. The reset is complete.

It's asking for Google that was synced before. I bought it used wat do I do

If I understand your question, you purchased a used android phone and you want it reset to factory defaults so you can log into it as a new user.
If you can get to the main screen, swipe from the top to access the menu
click on the gear to open settings,
scroll to the bottom to System,
scroll to Reset Options
select "Erase all data (factory reset)"

If you cant get to the settings because of a password requirement then you need to boot to the bootloader to do a factory reset from there. You need to provide the make model of your phone for instructions on starting the bootloader.

I need to factory reset my alcatel one touch phone. but, it's not got a button for the volume

A factory reset will get your phone back the way it was when you first bought it. Whatever you did then to raise or lower your volume is what you'd do after a hard reset. There should be a volume control in your settings.

Patch not saving, write button is not working from the day i bought.i bought is 2nd hand.plez help

If you buy a second hand, it may have been damaged in mini switch (tact switch) under the WRITE button. You need to replace the tact switch. Easy and inexpensive, you can do yourself, only with a little knowledge of soldering

You may also try the FACTORY RESET.
Restoring the GT-10 to the settings made at the factory is referred to as a "Factory Reset."
Not only can you return all of the settings to the values in effect when the GT-10 was shipped from the factory, you can also specify the range of settings to be reset.

If you do this"Factory Reset", all the setting on user memory (that you create) will be erased, so backup your setting before doing this steps.

Forgotten passsword

You'll need to do a factory reset:
1. With the device off, press and hold Volume Up and Power.
2. Release the Power button when you see the logo, but continue to hold Volume Up until the recovery screen appears.
3. Use the Volume buttons to navigate the menu and select wipe data / factory reset. Press Home to choose the selection.
4. Press Volume Up continue.

This will reset you device to factory settings, however anything on your SD card will still remain.
At this point you will need to start fresh as if you just bought the device -- register with your email address, etc.
