New Vaillant 360 eco plus boiler, takes almost 3/4s an hour for rads to come up to a decent temp. Hot water is fine. Called out install Engineer who is an excellent tradesman but he says everything

We have just had our old system boiler replaced with a vaillant ecotec plus 837 and sounds like a similar working operation to ours. At first I was a little concerned, but I was told by our installer that he was told by vaillant that these very latest boilers size the system on start up for about 10 mins, then take temperature to target flow which you set boiler at. So even by setting target flow temperature very high you still get the initial sizing cycle, which ours was about 30-35c temp. These boilers seem to run biased for efficiency as after a while they modulate the boiler burner down and the radiators run more on the side of warm than really hot like the old type boilers. You also get better efficiency as at lower temperature the boiler condenses better. You will also find you get a more constant temperature in your home rather than over shoots. I was concerned at first, shame there was no info/explanation in user manual as people do need to know that this is normal operation. We are used to ours now, took a month and by the way these boilers can make a creaking noise but was told this normal expansion/ contraction but annoying when sited in bedroom cupboard. Best of luck!

I have a 1994 Dodge intrepid 3.3 engine Just have New Radiator, Water Pump and Therma stat placed in car. However the Car kept leaking Fluid out of The coolant tank. My mechanic fixed that by Pressurising...

1) Your car should have a thermostat regardless of what your mechanic says. Fuel injected vehicles run better and more efficient at proper temperatures. So re-install thermostat properly before step 2.
2) Did the mechanic make sure the heater was on high temperature and blower on when he re-filled the cooling system?
Maybe not. So start engine when cool and rad cap off. Fill rad about an inch from the top and let the engine run up to normal operating temperature and keep an eye on coolant level in rad and keep it topped up as it's running. Rev the engine slightly for 5 seconds or so every once in a while to help with flow and pressure to make sure coolant is getting to and through heater core. Keep observing flow in rad to make sure it's good, when thermostat opens. You won't see much movement until thermostat opens at normal operating temperature, then you should see flow in rad and shortly after, rad fan should come on.Leave rad cap off and heater on until the rad fan comes on and off 3 or 4 times to make sure all air is out of the system. Then, make sure rad is topped up, put rad cap back on and fill return bottle to proper level. If that doesn't cure your overheating, then something was done wrong, or you have a possible head gasket problem but proper diagnosis should be done by a competent mechanic. What was the car doing initially to warrant these repairs, overheating?

Toymax robot RAD 4.0 battery missing - where to find replacement and operating instructions

Not sure this is still relevant to you after nearly 4 years, but The Old Robots Web Site (http://www.theoldrobots.com/download.html) has freely-downloadable PDF manuals for all(?) 4 RAD robots (and many others).

I can't help with sourcing a battery, though. However, as it's a 6-volt Ni-Cd Rechargeable, it should be relatively simple to put your own together, using 5 (Ni-Cd's are 1.2 volts, 6 volts divided by 1.2 is 5 batteries) of an appropriate size (AA's, from the looks of things), providing there's no circuitry WITHIN the original packs. You'd also have to get hold of the correct connector, of course.

2005 yukon denali is overheating

Start it cold with rad cap off, and heater on high heat, and let it run until you see increased flow in radiator, indicating thermostat opened & engine reached operating temperature. Rev engine slightly every once in a while and hold it there for 10-20 seconds, just to help purge air better/faster. Watch rad flow again, and wait until you see increased flow 3 or 4 times. Then top up coolant in rad to an inch or 2 from top of rad, and put cap back on. Top up return bottle to appropriate level on bottle & then try it again. If it still heats up, get back to me. Does it overheat at all times? Rad fan is good i take it?

Antifreeze is leaking out of rariator cap

Run engine from cool with cap off, heater (not defrost) on and top up coolant about an inch or 2 from top of rad, and watch as engine gets up to normal operating temperature. When it reaches thermostat temp approx.195 F the flow in rad should increase, then rad fan should eventually come on, and run shortly then shut off. Let this happen 3-4 times, and add coolant as needed. Then put rad cap back on & top up bottle to proper level. Try it and see what happens, and let us know.

Air in cooling system

You need to remove the upper most heater hose from the heater core and raise the hose up high . Fill the rad until coolant comes out of the heater core pipe. Carefully reattach the heater hose. Fill the rad slowly allowing trapped air to escape. This may take a while. Once the rad is full put a catch basin on the floor under the rad filler neck.Start the car and let it run to operating temperature.Allow the expanding coolant fall into the basin.Once you see circulation in the rad you can slowly top the rad off.Once you do this replace the rad cap and fill the reservoir bottle 3/4 ways to the top. Shut the car off and let it cool off filling the bottle as necessary. It's a lot to do,but it works for me every time :-)

I get all cold air / no heat when using defrost and all heaters

It is possible that you may have an air lock in the system. You need to drain the rad again and remove the upper most heater hose from the heater core and raise the hose up high . Shut the car off and let it cool off filling the bottle as necessary.Hopefully this will cure your problem. Good luck :-)
