If you want to change Windows XP to Vista you should check out the different Vista versions that Microsoft offers, here is a link to the different versions of VIsta that you can get and the upgrade paths you need to take - http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows-vista/get/upgrade-your-pc.aspx. You wont need the Windows XP installation disk to upgrade to Vista. Let me know if you need any more assistance.
When installing a new operating system, all file saved will be deleted. Since you've lost all data, you might as well format the entire drive, and then reinstall the vista inspirat thing. Then, download an Avast! anti virus form avast.com. Download the home version, which is free and scan the computer for any viruses. Delete every last one of the suckers.
hi, this is one of the most common problem while downgrading from
vista to XP.. get the driver of your sound device...now u can't
directly install the setup it wud display no audio device... so do the
following... 1. Righty click my computer...click the hardware tab.. 2.
click device manager... now you will see a yellow mark on the
uninstalled audio device. right click on it and update driver from a
specific loaction( where you have downloaded your audio driver ).
this would work...but remember to install the microsoft unversal audio architecture before this.
