Daughters phone contract has now ended "BUT" her OLD phone company in Western Australia refuses to unlock it for her.
Is there a way to do this for free?

Sorry no, to unlock the company / service provider lock you will have to find either a person with the tools required (that would make it free) or then use a public website which offers these services for a small fee.

www.mobile2mobile.net is one of them.

I don't have the software / hardware required to perform these unlock code calculations.
