Question about HP PSC 1210 All-In-One InkJet Printer

1 Answer

I've just inherited a used HP PSC 1210 printer from a friend who was moving. The first time I used it, it seemed fine, but all subsequent attempts to print a letter from Word have resulted in faint ink coverage as if printing in "draft" mode (I don't even know whether this printer has such a thing) and/or white horizontal lines through the type. I also tried scanning a document and found that some lines of type were distorted (compressed in height) while others had the same white lines through them. Thanks for any help you can offer!

HP PSC 1210 PRINTER switches off when print command is given. Scanner and copier works fine. unintalled and reintalled several time .problem persists

Shukla,

It seems that the printer drivers are corrupted while the copier and scanner drivers are fine. Disconnect the device from the computer, uninstall the device from Control Panel->Add Remove Programs and reboot.

Once rebooted, reinstall the device drivers from the CD that came with the device. Connect the device and allow Windows to autodetect it and load its drivers. Windows will tell you in the right bottom of the screen "The new hardware is installed and is ready for use".

Start printing.

Print cradle cannot move error

hi,

this seems to be a hardware problem..... anyway try this...

> unplug the powerchord
> open the rear access door, and check whether there is any paper jammed or any bit of paper or thread stuck inside.... if so remove it
> clean the rollers using a lint free cloth
> close the rear access door
> open the door so that you will get full access to the cartridges...
> move the cartridges to and fro for several times manually with your hand
> close the door
> plug the power chord
> try again to copy multiple pages

thanks and regards
