My Lexmark prevail pro 705 has stopped printing anything colour even after i have replaced all the cartridges??

This article on How to Troubleshoot the Vizix Ink Technology will help fix print quality problems on your printer. To run the Deep Clean Printhead function on your printer -> on the printer operator panel, press Setup -> Maintenance -> select Deep Clean Printhead. Your printer will then print the test page. Hope this helps. Thanks.

I am seeing verticle lines in photes I print out. Even after I clean and align. When I print the alignment test the cayan seems to have lines...

You need to clean your printer heads with a deep cleaning. Possibly more than one time. Usually the lines are caused by dried up ink in one of your cartridges. Do a test sample of print using small samples of colours and print in the top quality. If the lines still are there you need to replace one of the cartridges. You can, you know buy these very inexpensively online.I have a canon printer and I pay on average less than four dollars each.Anyway, try my suggestion as I have had exactly the same problem and if you still see the stripes let me know

Canon i865 - black print is blurred/fuzzy on every 3rd line. Have done clean, deep clean, changed both 3 and 6 cartridges. No problems until recently. Beautiful full colour photographs clear and sharp,...

Your printhead has burned out nozzles, the black is the most used and first to go. It switches nozzles during printing for even wear, that's why every few lines you get bad spots. You need a new printhead.

Colours are not true, grey is brown

You are getting leakage from one color cartridge to another. Do deep cleaning and run nozzle check. You may have been using non-Cannon inks. They can corrode the ink cartridge seats due to inferrior quality ink. You may need to replace the print head. Check out Cannon web site under this printer support. Print head is in the $50 neighborhood.

Canon pixma ip4200 colours are yellowy orange on teh photos - dont match on screen colour nozzle check shows the second of the cyan lines as very faint

(Had already done two deep cleans)
1. removed all print cartridges keeping them together and upright
2. qtip (cotton ball on a small plastic stick) soaked in generic nail varnish remover {alcohol based)
3 cleaned print head where cartridge sits repeatedly until no more ink came off on the cotton wool
4. did a deep clean twice
printer then functioned properly

How to do print head deep cleaning

Note: Print head deep cleaning consumes more ink than print head cleaning.
Perform this procedure only when print head cleaning cannot resolve the print problem.

1. Display the MAINTENANCE screen. (See How to display MAINTENANCE above.)

2. Use the <up / down> cursor button to select DEEP CLEANING and press the <OK> button.
3. Use the <up / down> cursor button to select 'Yes', then press the <OK> button to start print head deep cleaning.

Note: Do not do any other operations until deep cleaning is completed.

4. Print the nozzle check pattern and check the print head status. (See How to print a nozzle check pattern above.)

Note: If the printed result does not improve even after doing print head deep cleaning, turn off the printer. Then, after 24 hours or later, do print head deep cleaning again. After a given time interval, ink could dissolve itself, resulting in ink unclogging.
When the printed result does not improve even after these steps, replacement of ink cartridges may be required.
