Make sure the belt is around the motor pulley and the idler tension arm.it goes on like a serpintine belt on a car.pull the pulley to one side and then put the belt on the motor pulley and then release the idler pulley it should tighten up your belt.the outside of the belt should run along the inside of the idler pulley.it will almost look like a figure S.

Amana electric dryer will heat but only when.../ LEA60AW

Hi there,

It seems there is some wire loose, check on the both side of heating element points.
The heating element is simply a long coil of special wire. You can check it for continuity with an ohm meter.

Good Luck!!
Thanks

How do i fit a drive belt on a hotpoint tumble drier

Hi, To fit the belt to your dryer you will need to remove the top of the appliance by removing the screws at the rear. Pull of the timer/control knob. Look inside the top of the t/dryer behind the control panel you will see little plastic stems which are attached to the facia panel. You need to knock these out to remove the facia. Once this is off then you can remove the the top 3 screws and the bottom 3 screws the front panel will now come off for you to place the belt on the drum and over the motor spindle. Becareful as the t/dryer will be very loose and will twist. it is easier to lay the appilance down on its back to stop everything falling about. Now you can put it back together in the reverse order....
Good luck.............

Frigidaire MD# GLER642AS1 Dryer

first check you vent system it must be four inches all the way to the end not a lot of hose behind it just enough to reach the outside vent housing im going to give you the procedure for the belt but consult your owners manuel for proper venting as this will make the drier to hot if not vented prioperly unplug the drier pull it out from the wall about a foot facing the drier take a small putty knife and insert it about 3" from the edge push the knife in till you feel the spring clip push in on it and lift the top then repeat that on the other side fold the top back till it leans against the wall look in the drier on the front edge of the front door panel there are two 5\16 in screws there remove them and un plug the light switch and the door switch assembly .grasp the front door panel and give it a quick snap forward to disengage the retaining clips and the door from the drum remove the door .Lay on the floor reach in and remove the belt from the idler pulley and blower motor pulley .once you get in there see if the drier is full of lint

I'm tring to put a belt on my World pool, Iperial series heavy duty dryer.

afacing the drier get a small putty knife come about 1 inch from the edge of the drier and push in with the putty knife to release the plastic clip some times this can be difficult pull up on the top at the same time do that on either side till you get the top up then tilt the top back against the wall disconnect the the door switch wires look in the drier to the front panel on either side you will see two 5/16 screws remove them tilt the front panel toward you nd remove the panel put the belt around the drum slide it back to where you can see the old one has been running pull the idler wheel back hold tension on it and put the belt around the motor pulley let the idler pulley up till it engages the belt and reverse dissemble don't for get to plug the door switch back up
