Have you been trying to set the program by manual (by TV buttons). If you can set it manually, aim the remote straight forward at the TV sensor and press then notice the light is responsed (blingking each pressing time). If it does not response, the problem may come from the sensor or remote. You need another good remote to isolate this problem. Alternatively, you can try this remote with another Samsung TV (if possible) to see how it works.

Go to the menu and then tools. You can de-activate the "in-store mode" there. Once you do that it will be in the proper mode!
