I would check the air filter first. It may be clogged up with dirt, causing your machine to over-heat and shut down. If that is not the problem, then here is a Link to one of my Tips:

Good Luck!!

Saw dies after working for fifteen minutes

Could be a multitude of issues, I however suspect the carb is in need of adjustment. The chainsaw while operating under manufacturer specs runs between 900 degrees (F) and 1100 degrees (F) if the chainsaw exceeds 1100 (which after 15 minutes of use this is possible) the chainsaw quits or what is called a lean seizure, the piston swells and scores the cylinder walls. when the piston swells too much it seizes the chainsaw, after it cools down it the piston will shrink and the chainsaw will run again. Too many times and the piston will score the cylinder causing damage and space between the cylinder wall and the piston.

Truck start up run great couple minutes then shut off let set few minutes then crank up run great 30 second shuts down like you cut key off let set few minutes crank right back run fine then dose same

Sounds like it is running out of fuel. Maybe a bad fuel pump, or clogged filter. If it is carbureted, a stuck float valve or clogged float valve might be the problem.

Telling us year, make and model would allow us to help you more.

My saw just cuts off after running it a couple minutes then it wont start back until it sits a little while

My first thought is the vent for the fuel tank is partially obstructed causing a slight vacuum to build in the tank when running, as it sets after it quits running the vent allows air into the tank slowly until the pressure equalizes.

Uno fire 1100 manual

I am not sure if this was answered already. However, good to know the following. When i purchased my chainsaw I was told a few words of wisdon. At the end of the season and when your chainsaw is going on the shelf for several months, crank it up, run it a couple of minutes and then shut it off. Then drain all the gas out of it and then crank it up again and open up the throttle. It will run 5-15 seconds and then die out on you. That is good! What you did is remove all the gas/oil out of your chainsaw for storage. I was told, that if I do this, I would never have trouble starting it up. That was 13 years ago and I add new fuel at the start of the season and it cranks up, each and every time!. At this point, I would go with the easy solution to drain all your fuel and put an new spark plug in, add fuel and see if this helps

My chainsaw poulan p3314 will run fine for about five minutes, then cuts out and wont start until it cools down....???

Sounds like the engine is overheating and seizing. Most of the time this is a cooling or oil problem. Check the cooling fan for debris. Make sure you use the right oil mix.

Have a model 359 runs for a couple of minutes then quick start it back up runs a couple minutes then stops.

Hi, The next time it shuts down on you, crack the gas cap and listen for a vacuum. If you hear that noise, clean the pinhole vent in the cap. This will allow air to be pulled into the tank as the fuel is being pulled out.

unleaded fuel is notorious for going stale, and it can leave a resinous coating in the carb-try running the saw on half choke with new gas and less oil eg 50 to 1 for say ten minutes, this should clear the gunk out-if this does not work, you have two choices-strip and clean the carb,or adjust the H (high) scew on the carb anti-clockwise by a quarter turn a time till it revs out full bore-good idea to remove the chain and wear ear defenders when adjusting-and always use a chainsaw at its max rpm,or you run the risk of "kickback"
