Try control alt delete keys (all together), windows task manager should pop up, then select shutdown, then restart option. If this does not work, you may need to turn it off at the 'on' button. Eg hold the button in or down until the pc turns off.. If you have further problems, reply to this post. Rgds,

I have a Dell Demension 5100, and the power button got stuck. By stuck, I mean that the power button is pushed in, but not released. It's stuck as if you pressed the power button, but did not release...

if your PC have restart button then open your PC and check the power cable slots and change them into a reset mode removing reset cable to reset slots and attach to power slot. Then you can power your pC with reset button. If you can open front case then you can outside the button .

DVD tray will not go in

To verify there is nothing stuck in your drive, turn off your computer and try manually pushing the tray in GENTLY and feel if there is something blocking the tray moving. If there is nothing preventing the tray from moving manually push the tray in - start your computer and try it again. Use the eject function in windows explorer and try the retract button again. If teh button will not work try pushing the tray in manually again. Once the tray starts moving in it should automatically retract the rest of the way. If the unit will not retract on it's own by either method then the drive should be replaced.

I'd try booting windows into safe mode and disabling windows firewall then trying to boot up normally. I've also heard this may be some kind of a virus.
