I have a Chicco Cortina stroller and the buckles seem like they are too tight and are not "balanced" (equal length on each side). I have trouble adjusting them. Is it just me? am I missing something?

I just had the same problem. The upper part of the latch looked like it was inserted crooked and squeezing the sides would not cause it to unlatch. I used a flat head screw driver and inserted it between the two parts and twisted slightly. It helped to squeeze the sides of the latch while I was twisting with the screwdriver. It popped apart but now will still get stuck every time I relatch it. Somehow the plastic tracks on the upper latch are warped and won't guide the latch in straight like it is supposed to. I'm about to call Chicco and attempt to order a replacement for both the bottom and top part of the harness latch.
