Cannot get ANY of the fans to work.

one half of the breaker you moved is not making contact in the panel or moving the breaker caused the fan relay to be on the same 115 volt leg as the power leg. If the breaker is connected to two points in the panel and you have 115 volts on each side of the breaker (230 volts) You can move the breaker one notch higher or lower or switch wires on the breaker to correct the circuit.

Just moved in to new house with central air. Despite turning all 3 zone thermostats to off (ie no cool, no heat), there is still air being blown through vents throughout the house. (fan switches are also...

You should not have the blower fan running if all thermostats are set as you say. You either have a relay problem in the air handler or the zone system wiring or controller is defective.

Heil heat pump the outside unit is rattling severly when it kicks on and isn;t blowing warm air, just had an ice storm today, will ice in the unit cause this? also what is the "em heat" selection...

Hi,
There is ice built up on the fan blades and they are out of balance so they do not move any air....you will need to melt the ice off of the fan for it to work...
The "EM Heat" is to bring on the electric backup heat coils if you have them... you could use that temp. but it will cost you more $$

Hello,Good job with description.Something is keeping the condenser off(saftey).Do you have an emergency heat setting on the therm. It will run electric heat strips only until service can check it out.Very rare that the disconnect switch (black box) is it.Need electrical meter to prove it out.

Thermo set "heat" and "Auto

Check the fan relay. These relays are used to cut the fan on and off when the thermostat is set in the air conditioning or heating mode or when you move the thermostat to the "Fan On" position. The low voltage usually the green thermostat wire is wired to terminal #1. The low voltage common wire to terminal #3. One line voltage wire is attached to terminal #4. The high speed blower wire usually black is attached to terminal #2. When the thermostat calls for air conditioning or "Fan On" the 24 volt coil is energized, the terminals 4 and 2 close. This causes the fan to come on in high speed. When your home cools down and the thermostat cuts the air conditioner off, the low voltage coil terminals 1 & 3 are denergized, and the fan goes off. Sometimes these little relays stick which causes the fan to run all the time or will not make good contact, which causes the fan to not run in the "Fan On" or air conditioning mode.

I have a kenmoore refrigerator and when I plugged it in in the garage it worked. We then moved it into the kitchen plugged it in and the lights work but the motor or fan is not coming on.

It could be stuck in defrost , but without the model number , I can't tell you where the timer is located . You may also " tap " on the thermostat knob , to see if fan and compressor start ( if so , thermostat is bad ) .
