Older version: unscrew the phillips-head screw that holds the battery door on at the bottom of the keybad.

Newer version: insert a phillips-head screwdriver into the slot at the bottom edge of the unit, and pull gently to loosen; then slide door down. http://www.chamberlain-diy.com/doityourself/pdfdocs/114A2109.pdf

How do i replace dyson DX5 battery

Hi there, it's Jack at Dyson.

Depending on the age of your particular DC44 machine, the battery will be held in place either by a round silver clip, or fixed in place by two screws.

If you have the version with the clip, simply pressing this will allow
the battery to be removed and replaced. The new battery will clip into place.

If you have the version with the two screws, you would need to undo these to remove the battery. One screw is above the charger connection on the handgrip, and the other is behind the washable pre-filter. To access the screw behind the pre-filter, please follow the steps to remove the filter shown in our filter washing video guide:

How do I remove the battery from a Dyson DC56. There is no push button.

hi lisa, it's jack at dyson.

dc56 does not include a push-button to remove the battery - instead, the battery is fixed securely in place with two screws. this brings it into line with the other cordless and handheld vacuums in our range.

the battery is not intended to be removed on a day-to-day basis. however, if the battery ever needs replacing, it can be removed by undoing the two screws which hold it in place.

i hope this helps, but if you need any additional advice on using or maintaining your dc56, you're welcome to get in touch. you can reach our experts directly on 1-866-693-9766 (us).

Try cleaning the door tracks and rollers as if they are sticking the motor will reverse as a safety function. Use WD40 and wipe clean then apply some spray grease.

How do I remove the battery in a Dustbuster chv1400 for replacement? I have removed the two screws and removed the cover, but I'm unable to figure out the retaining clips for the battery. Of course I don't...

That model looks similar to my DB200. Instead of the screws, the underside has a latch/panel that you remove. Place a screwdriver in the two slot-like holes that face each other (one at a time) and the 'door' should pop out. Mine was a little stiff and I broke one of the retainers inside. Shouldn't be a problem. Sourcing a replacement battery 'pack' is what I'm doing now.
Good luck!

I have a Chamberlain Liftmaster Professional 1/3 hp garage door opener. I'm unable to find the model number, but it was made in April 2004 and has an orange learn button. It has been working fine since...

Do you mean the numeric keypad is no longer controlling the garage door? If so, have you changed the battery for the keypad? Frequently, if the battery is low, the keypad will stop working when the door is closed but works to close an open door. On most Chamberlain garage door openers, this is a 9V battery. You may need a small Philips screw driver to open the battery compartment at the bottom of the keypad.

After changing the battery, try the learn code procedure again. I've found it easiest to have two people involved when programming the keypad to the garage door opener. One handles the Learn button and the other types in the desired code.

I hope this helps.

Norelco razor 6867xl - am planning to replace battery pack. Would be easier to solder if I could remove the whole circuit board system from the hard plastic case. How do you release the metal clips?

The whole circuit board is removable, and I would recommend removing it from the whole external case to work on so nothing is damaged by your soldering iron.

Battery : 2x NiCd AA
Battery capacity : approx. 700 mAh

Power is green but when i turn on clean status is red and power is red

Battery time! Get a nice new longer life battery on Ebay, or go for the Nicad replacement if you have no carpet and want to save some cash.

You have dead nimh (nickle metal hydride) batteries. You will need a replacement. You can test for this by removing the battery and holding the power button for 15 seconds. This will restart the charging cycle as if the battery were new.

I think I need to replace the main battery in my small floor vac - the one that can be hand held like a dust buster or work like a small floor vac. I need to know how to remove the battery and replace it...

I see my sense of humor is not appreciated...it was only a joke. Anyway, here is what you do: First, slide the battery cover off the bottom of the hand held unit. Remove the battery from the motor housing by pressing the tab on connector “A”; this releases the battery from the motor housing. Plug the new battery (LC-R064R2P) into connector “A”. When installing the battery the wires have to go in first and they must be placed in front of the battery or you'll never get the battery cover back on.

Battery replacement

I have opened CHV1400 by removing two screws that are visible when you remove the "accessory" from its holder (located underside of the vacuum). After removing the 2 screws, I had to pull the green colored part by exerting slight force. You will now see the battery. It is held down by 2 more screws which are easy to remove.
