To help isolate it, try to connect an external monitor to it. If display works on the external display, problem would be the laptop LCD. If you can remove and reconnect the LCD cable to the motherboard, that may help. If no display on both display, try to test the hard drive to another laptop if you can, or you can try reinstalling Windows. If no display at all, chances are, it is the video card.
