You can try doing a system restore by pressing f11 as soon as the computer starts up... otherwise, you can just perform a system recovery (which will restore the computer back to factory settings and will result to data loss).. If you are not ok with that then maybe you can try password recovery software found here. Password cracking is not guaranteed to work though.
If she has administrative priveliges, she can go to user accounts through her account and try resetting a new password for you..try that. You may also have a trojan in your windows account, but we will try the password change first..that is,if you use a password:)
Sorry, Marie, didn't quite get the whole problem. Try a reboot. If that doesn't work, try safe mode. You get to safe mode by rebooting, then when the Mfg splash screen comes up (ie HP/Compaq/Presario) hit F8 until you get the dos menu. The DOS menu is a black screen with about 8 options or so. Use your arrow keys to highlight Safe Mode. Again try to get the Administrator account open by choosing that account and then just hitting enter. If you get in, open the Control Panel, then the User Accounts. Then either change the logon procedure using options or remove the password from the user account you're having problems with. If you can't get this far, you probably have a virus and should submit your computer to a professional for backup and recovery of the hard drive.
You might get in using "Safe Mode" and going throught the Administrator account. If you have no password on that one (most people don't) then all you need to do is hit enter. If you have the same account listed on your Welcome page try it there first. If not Google password recovery. There are some free password recovery programs online that could help. Only other choice is to have your documents backed up by pulling the HDD then do a full recovery using the recovery partition or CD.
When starting the computer fress F 8 key repetedly after power button untill you have the option for safe mode with networking go to admin go to control panal user remove password. (unless admin has a password then you need a special software from sportu if this is xp or below) (if vista forget it the 1st user is admin format and reload is the only way around that)
