Make sure this hard drive is getting power

Test or replace your PSU power supply unit preferably with a heavy duty one with plenty of wattage remembering that with any added hardware your computer will use more power/wattage eg:more RAM ,bigger hard drive, slave drive
One bad/faulty lead can cause a computer with lots of problems
replace all the leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions + IDE,SATA the ones that attach from your motherboard to hard drive
make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty or just replace them they are probably old and faulty ?
hope this helps

Will not spin water stays in and wont drain the tub wont spin and when you try to jiggle the knob it is derad on the spin cycle

Assuming you have agitation, the tube wont spin because the mechanism to spin is prohibited by one of these the clutch, the brake, or the pulley is not engaged as designed. They are all need to be inspected before jumping in to buy the parts for replacement. Good luck.

Wont spin does everything else but spin

Your spin cycle control seems to be bad. This is also called your timer. Check for power supply by pulling off your top panel and checking for power everywhere.
