ok, think about mass that moves under the forces of braking, things like engines and gearboxes, have you checked all those mounts for integrity, have a look to see if anything has been rubbing, new shiney spots appearing that weren't there before.

Rotate your wheel so that the valve is in the 6 o'clock position, mark where it is on the ground and roll the wheel along the ground 1 complete revolution (until valve reaches the 6 o'clock position again), mark that and measure between the 2 marks.

Pedal assembly for a trek navigator 100

This bike had a square-taper bottom bracket. What happens with this type is that the bolts holding them on become slightly loose over time. The crank arm begins to wobble and the "wollows" out the inner hole on the crank arm such that a new one will have to be purchased. They are about $15.

The only parts envolved are the cranl arm and the both that holds it in place.

Hearing a scraping noise about 15 mph , replaced front wheel bearing

The scraping noise could be a brake pad rubbing on a rotor, most likely caused by not getting the axle set in the right spot after replacing the wheel bearings, (assuming everything else was done correctly). Start by supporting bike with front wheel off the ground. Loosen the front axle nut. Loosen the clamp on the bottom of the right side lower leg. Insert a 7/16" drill bit or steel rod or drill bit, (whatever will fit through the hole without too much slop). Tighten axle nut to 50 to 55 ft lbs. Tighten clamp nuts. Spin the wheel and operate the hand brake a few times. Wheel should now be centered with the brake rotors running in the center of the brake pads. If not, you may have mixed up the spacers.

disc/rotor is warped in one spot, doesn't sound extreme...if it's buggin' you have it turned at a motorcycle shop, otherwise just ride my friend, it's not dangerous....Tim
