Question about Gateway FPD1760 17" LCD Monitor
The other day my monitor went blank, I reached to the back to check on the cord and itcame back on. When bringing my hand back tothe key board,I touched the menu buttons on the right hand side of the monitor, and this caused the screen to move about 4 inches to the right, and the picture became too bright for me to read or see anything. Up to now the left hand side of the screen is black and the screen moved tothe right and I still cant read or see mostthings clearly due to thebrightness.
Gateway said I had to pay about $200 for them to listen to my problem as the computer had just come out of warranty. (1 year old) Someone please help. I can't afford tobuy another monitor right now.
Sounds like the LCD inverter gone bad.
you might get lucky in finding one on EBAY.
