Question about Blaupunkt VP 4 Car DVD Player

Open Question

My car has a Blaupunkt rear seat DVD player system- the DVD/mp3 player is mounted under the front passenger seat, and there are two DVD screens - one in the headrest of each of the front seats. I do not know the model number. One of the DVD screens is broken. I would like to replace it. Where can I get a new screen? The screen measures 6 1/2 inches wide and 4 inches tall. It's about 1 inch deep. I have taken it out of the headrest and can see that it has a plug to plug into the system, so it would seem that replacement is just an issue of getting a correct screen and plugging it into the cable connection. Can you assist me? I have photos I could send but do not have model number.... THANKS!

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Crutchfield has the manual available for download here:
http://a248.e.akamai.net/pix.crutchfield.com/Manuals/023/023HDLCD51.PDF

I saw a picture in the manual showing where the various connectors plug in. You should be able to tell from there what the orientation should be. It was page 29 of the PDF.

Is driver airbag still functional when passenger airbag light is on in a 2010 Chevy malibu?

Hello Collette,

(Owner Manual Page 2-68)
The passenger sensing system turns off the right front
passenger frontal airbag and seat-mounted side
impact airbag under certain conditions. The driver
airbags and the roof-rail airbags are not affected by the
passenger sensing system.
The passenger sensing system works with sensors that
are part of the right front passenger seat. The sensors
are designed to detect the presence of a properly-seated
occupant and determine if the right front passenger
frontal airbag and seat-mounted side impact airbag
should be enabled (may inflate) or not.

I'm not sure if a purse or other light weight objects would activate the passenger airbag but if your display is showing random passenger activation it would be best to have a qualified dealer check into it...better safe than sorry.

9

Slide the rider's seat tabs under the frame cross-member to reinstall the seat. Lower the back of the seat onto the subframe, then screw the mounting bolts into place with a 5 mm Allen wrench.

Replace a rear evaporated core from 2002 dodge grand caravan

Remove the rear weather stopping. Remove the two passenger side rear seat belt mounting bolts. Remove the upper and lower rear trim covers. Remove the passenger rear most trim panel. Remove the passenger trim panel Justin from of that. Remove the lines from the EVAP core from under the vehicle. Remove the several screws and nuts that hold the rear HVAC housing in place. Carefully swing the HVAC housing away from the side of the vehicle keeping in mind you will need to unplug a couple connectors and use caution not to pull out the heater hoses when doing this. Disassembly the housing and swap out the EVAP core. The rear lines disconnect towards the front of the vehicle about right under the passenger front seat. They will be held to the body with half a dozen fastners.

There should be a DVD Repeat modes or "Repeat/Repeat Modes" button on your remote. Press that until it's back to "ALL" and it should play things properly again for you.
