My phone shuts down when I'm on it usually during a conversation and more easily when I put someone on hold to connect to another call. I don't think it's the battery because this will happen after it's been charged. This just started happening. Prior to that it worked well. The only suggestion from AT&T was to upgrade to a newer one because the phone has become defective. Is there another way to resolve this? The last thing I did was to download some Java stuff

You can't put songs that you have bought from apple. You can put songs that you have riped from CD's or downloaded. You need a micro SD card. On the phone go into options: Advance Options, Media Card. Turn mass storage mode on. Now plug your BB into the computer and a little window will open up. open the Blackberry folder then music. Drop and drag your music files into that folder. if your going to use the Desktop software go to google and type: Blackberry Desktop Manager 4.5. This version comes with a media manager.

I took it to the original operator who checked the imei ,and they told me the data package was cancelled because the phone was under a business plan of 2 years and someone unlocked the phone so they blacklisted it.
Now I have to make a new contract and all will be resolved.
Remember that if you type in the PIN "5815" (example) on the BB keyboard without holding down the ALT key you are really typing "dxwd" but you can't see it because it does not show the typed letters only the *****. Try entering the letter form of the numeric passcode. One more example. If your passcode was "1234" enter "wers".
I had the same problem with mine. It started reseting when I tried to connect wi-fi to my wireless network at home, as soon as I entered my security code. To fix this problem I had to turn off power on blackberry (If you hold power button of blackbery it will power off when it gets to desktop screen let it go and your bb will power off). then turn power off on your wireless router and your bb should turn on. Go to manage connections and turn wi-fi off. Apparently it is a bug in the os. mine works great.
