SOURCE: cord won't pull out

Hi Shaun77b,

Regretfully if you didn't use a gas/oil mix the motor is probably seized. The internal parts on a 2 cycle motor are lubricated by the oil in the gas. It may keep running without oil but once it shuts off- its done.

Sorry, Phil

SOURCE: i pull the cord but it will not start, i have a Ryobi Backpack Bl

Ok that's half the battle. Probably the easiest thing to do is to clean the carb. So I would get some carb cleaner and using the little tube that comes with it spray into the high and low ports on the carb. Then spray in the outlet side of the carb.
Ps. Remove the little black and white caps and turn the screws on each while counting the number of turns to close (this way when you put the screws back in then all you have to do is count the turns to put them back at the factory settings). Now remove the screws and gently put the tube in each port and spray.
Also you may as well clean the filter with soap and water and let it dry. Once the filter dries take some fresh oil and drop a couple of drops on the filter and make sure it's has a small amount of oil in it.
Let me know how things go! Good luck!

130BT Blower can't pull start cord.

Can be a couple issues. The obvious is seized. The other is a broken jammed connecting rod. I would put some oil down the plug hole and let it sit overnight. Then after a day or so...try again with the wratchet. In both directions, forward then backward just to try and free it.

I used straight gasoline in my husqvarna backpack blower and it will not start. Is this fixable?

Hello Kelly. I don't think this connection will have good news. When gas is used in these gas/oil engins straight it usually burns them up . If you can pull the cord you can check for compression, by pulling out the spark plug and putting your finger over the plug hole. Youwill either not be able to pull cord, or piston will be stuck in cylinder. GOOD LUCK.

My echo backpack leaf blower pull start seems stuck it wont crank

Without getting to involved with it, did you always mix the correct fuel/oil ratio? or has someone else possibly put straight gas in it without oil? Another possibility is that the recoil could be broke. I would try to determine if the piston is seized in the cylinder. First remove the spark plug and try to pull the starter rope while listening closely for any strange noises from the engine. If it pulls fine then, replace the spark plug and try to start it again. If that doesn't work then I would remove the back cover and remove the muffler so you can look at the cylinder. You will need a phillips screwdriver and a set of metric allen wrenches. Hope that helps.

The start cord on the leaf blower won't pull out more than a few inches. Why is this?

pull your spasrk plug out and see if it pulls over then, cylinder might be fullof gas causing hydro lock condition,if so pullit till cylinder dries out then re-install plug and try starting. if all is good check your fuel cap to make sure the vent is working! If it's not venting this causes vacumn that pull fuel out of tank to cylinder after it is shut off...........Good Luck 2StrokeJim

Pull cord not catching

If you remove the cover, there is a metal arm that pops out when you pull. The arm is probably rust or just stuck. Spray it with lube and work it around so it loosens up.
