Question about Nintendo DS Lite Console

1 Answer

Mind of its own.

I've had my DS for about a month and it's been working fine. Except most of the time when i turn it on, it selects things by itself. It's like I'm picking things, with out touching anything. I only play the brain age games so this problem makes it very difficult to play. I've tried charging it and restarting it, neither work. Sometimes, though, I'll turn it on and it will be fine for a while. Then, once I turn it off, it's back to picking whatever it wants. I haven't dropped it or done any damage to it, so I am confused as to why it is doing this.

I got an iedge a couple of months ago and it was working fine but now every time i start it says error. how do i fix this

Hi Josh,

It sounds like you updated your iEDGE card to the iEDGE 1.4.3 firmware that Nintendo released for the DSi and DSi XL a while back. It's quite probable that your iEDGE isn't updated, and then you updated your console which will cause the iEDGE to not work.

Take a look at this site for a bit more information:

iEDGE Not Working on Firmware 1.4.3 DSi Version

iEDGE Production Shortage in September 2011

I'd recommend getting a card with a team behind it that has a little more support. Names that come to mind include the Supercard DSTWO, Acekard 2i and Cyclo DS iEvolution, all of which are pretty top quality cards with frequent-ish firmware updates.

I personally shop at DSCardWorld.com but if you live outside of the U.S. then NDS-Gear.com is likely to be your best bet for an authorised retailer where you don't run the risk of picking up a knock-off fake card.

Hope I've helped, and please upvote my answer if I have! :-)

I`ve had my ds for about 3 yrs now, and my mic

you can fix it just replace it but it means nearly completely stripping down your ds as the mic is fitted in the top part and plugs into the motherboard in the bottom part.

Nintendo DS Lite will not turn on.

There may be a problem with the battery itself. The same thing happened to my sister's DS. You could take it to a repair shop, and for about $70 - $90 they will fix it. That in my opinion is better than
buying a new one for about $200.

Hope it helps~

Nintendo DS Lite won't turn on

My kids did the same thing. What I did to get it to work was to push back on the top and hold it turn it on. If it comes on then turns off after you let it go get 2 rubber bands and put the 1st. one on the top left down to the bottom right. The 2nd. one goes from the top right right to the bottom left. Then keep turning it on while moving the top to find the sweet spot.

DS Lite restarting itself

It maybe that you dont charge it?? The game card may have been damaged not sure... you might have touched the power sliding thing... Try and leave your DS on for a few minutes and see if it turns off.

Action replay problems

Try resetting the hardware by following these steps: 1/ With the console powered off, hold A+B.
2/ Power up the console while still holding A+B.
3/ As soon as the Nintendo screen is displayed, before our screen stating this product is not endorsed by Nintendo, press and hold Start and Select while keeping hold of A+B.
4/ Continue to hold these buttons until the Main Action Replay screen is displayed, then release. Your product is reset, and will accept codes once more.
I do not have credit. these instructions were from codejunkies.com (creators of AR). then try uploading them on the computor.
