Question about Averatec 5500 Notebook

1 Answer

Every time I turn my laptop on, it will boot OK and begin to function as it should. At various times (usually within 30 minutes) it will simply click and go off (black screen-no green lights). I can immediately turn it back on, (sometimes happens twice in a row) and it will then "run" forever. I notice that sometimes this happens just as I try to access the Internet. I am also having a problem getting the machine to ALWAYS recognize my wireless router and connection that is located about 8 feet away. It tells me it can find no wireless in range (then sometimes finds 4-6 networks in range). I have blown out the dust, etc. from the open portals, but no change. I have reloaded the LAN and wireless drivers, reset the system etc. to no avail

As I said in my first post...I have already done all that. Sorry, none of that worked. The machine still clicks itself off within the first few minutes that I start it and when I restart it (sometimes twice, never more), it works fine until I turn it off and then start it the next time.....

What I would consider doing is first off make sure to use some compressed computer air and blow out the internals make sure the fans are working properly. Then depending on if you have a restore partition or a copy of windows. Then you would either use the restore partition to restore it back to the way it was at the factory not to be confused with windows restore, or use your windows disc and reformat and reinstall windows. please not in either case all information will be lost on the drive so make sure to back up anything you need. Also make sure you have the latest drivers for your system.
Thank you,
Lee

Then it's either a driver conflict issue, or it's a hardware issue which would require motherboard replacement. So I would recommend living with it as it would be costly to repair.
    Thanks,

Error is coming E000002

Error E000002

Press the the " additional functions" button, then the numbers 2 and 8 simaltaneously, and then the additional functions button.

This will bring a new screen with several icons. Press "Coppier".

This will bring several more icons to view. At the top of the screen press "Function" and then "Clear" at this point a new icon will display "ERR". Press it and then "OK"

This should make the coppier recover from its critical error.

Disconnect the machine from the power source for 30 Seconds and power it up. If the reeor returns it will within 5 Minutes or so. If it doesn't, it is now OK, until the next time that is.

Hope this helps.

After firmware upgrade the HP 4015x will not boot up with the duplex unit installed. Boots up ok without the duplex. We even reapplied the firmware upgrade.

I had the same problem. HP Pro Support advised me to
deinstall the additional paper tray and the toner.
and reapply the firmware update 3 times.
It sounded stupid to me but it worked!!!
Be sure to use usb connection and wait 30 min between progress.

1 st time - no paper tray, toner, wait 30 minutes
2 nd time - no paper tray, wait 30 minutes,
3 rd time - all together now, wait 30 minutes

I hope this will help you and others,
Arthur

It seems that the temp more often goes up to 20-30's and that food is not as frozen when I check it. When temp goes up I check it for next couple of minutes and usually within 10 min the temp is back down...

This is normal. All commercfial freezers must defrost 3 to 5 times a day, or they will freeze over at the coil and then stop freezing. A timer in your freezer turns off the compressor and turns a heating element on for 10 to 15 minutes. During that time the coil heats and melts frost from the coil. Usually within 30 minutes the temperature will briefly rise to 20 t0 25 degrees F and then quickly drop down to 0 degrees F. The food rarely defrosts in this short period of time..

Acer laptop power button and fan problem

This is usually something to do with network booting, see if your PC is trying to boot from some sort of network device, or network address, real or imaginary, It may also be a virus, trying to connect, somewhere, at boot up, so run a rootkit check too. Check all network settings and privacy settings too.
Here is a program that runs at boot time and tells you what is going on and how to speed up your boot time, it may help. copy/paste below. http://www.soft32.com/Download/Free/BootVis/4-19687-1.html
