Question about Averatec 5500 Notebook
What I would consider doing is first off make sure to use some compressed computer air and blow out the internals make sure the fans are working properly. Then depending on if you have a restore partition or a copy of windows. Then you would either use the restore partition to restore it back to the way it was at the factory not to be confused with windows restore, or use your windows disc and reformat and reinstall windows. please not in either case all information will be lost on the drive so make sure to back up anything you need. Also make sure you have the latest drivers for your system.
Thank you,
Lee

Hi,
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

Press the the " additional functions" button, then the
numbers 2 and 8 simaltaneously, and then the additional functions
button.
This will bring a new screen with several icons. Press "Coppier".
This will bring several more icons to view. At the top of the screen
press "Function" and then "Clear" at this point a new icon
will display "ERR". Press it and then "OK"
This should make the coppier recover from its critical error.
Disconnect the machine from the power source for 30 Seconds and power
it up. If the reeor returns it will within 5 Minutes or so. If it
doesn't, it is now OK, until the next time that is.
Hope this helps.

As I said in my first post...I have already done all that. Sorry, none of that worked. The machine still clicks itself off within the first few minutes that I start it and when I restart it (sometimes twice, never more), it works fine until I turn it off and then start it the next time.....
