I had the same problem. The heating element is most likely broken. It is an easy fix and costs about $75-$100

SOURCE: My kenmore 80 series dryer

This seems to be an electric dryer so, no pilot light.
The heating element might have failed or it has a heavy current fuse that has failed.
There aren't many things that a dedicated DIYer can't do given time, a few common tools and some common sense.
Having a multimeter at home helps too; these can be had at electronics or auto parts stores and usable instruments can be had for <$20 US. Somewhat intelligible Chinglish instruction sheet is included.

SOURCE: Kenmore 80 Series gas dryer starts with heat but very short time

Hello Friend, Your problem is very simple to fix. You're dryer needs a gas valve coil kit. To replace coils just remove front of dryer body and look below drum you will see the gas valve. The valve coils are located on top of valve (two little round black cylinders). It's simple, just remove the two screws from the little metal bracket that holds them down, unplug the wires from them and just lift them straight up off of the valve. Take notice that one has 3 wires and one has 2 wires. Just replace with new coils and plug wires back in and re-fasten metal bracket. Your dryer will run like new. Happy to help, Tim.

Where is the thermal fuse on a series 80 kenmore electric dryer. will this act as though the power is off? How can i test the fuse?

Yes, but there are several thermal limiters, they should reset when the unit cools, so likely that is not what is happening.... Forcefully turn the breaker FULLY off, and then back on, and test again...

The thermal limiters are located along the air flow path, typically downstream of your burner, the purpose is to prevent overheating and fire. These limiters stop the HEATING element and not the drum motor...

Dryer rotates, but there is zero heat. Kenmore Series 80, model 0104806

First check your breakers in the power box to the house. If one the the legs is tripped, the cylinder will turn but will not heat. Next, check the thermostat switches near the heating element for continuity. If no continuity, replace them. Check heating element for continuity. If no continuity, replace.

No heat in kenmore series 80, model 85040

hello there:
here is some troubleshooting ideas for you to help
A dryer sometimes won't heat or heats too slowly because of a variety of reasons. By following the guidelines below, you can inspect the heating elements on a gas or electric dryer to pinpoint the source of the problem.
Electric heating elements, found in electric dryers, are self-contained units located in the back of the dryer. A defective heating element is frequently the source of no-heat or drying problems. Remove the back service panel to gain access to the elements.
The heating elements are located inside the heater ducts. If you think a heating element is faulty
