I have scrupulously followed your instructions of cleaning and descaling the machine but it continuously leaks when in brewing mode , in fact a stream and not just a leak. Please advise as to how I may open and manually clean the valve.

This is a simple problem. The steam valve has some scale deposits which it does not leave to close completely. So when you're brewing the water is with 9 bar pressure so some of it can escape through the steam valve.

You can try decaling the machine a couple of times and leaving the dissolved liquid in the machine for longer time about one hour so this might melt the scale and clean the machine.

Do this the next day and even the day after. If the problem insists then you will need to disassemble the steam valve and manually clean it from scale.

It leaks like a sieve every time you brew coffee!

I found that ours would leak if the accuflavor knob is turned to much toward "strong"

I moved it to half way between strong and weak and it does not leak anymore.

UPDATE 1/2/16: Ours started leaking again and turning the AccuFlavor knob had no effect. However, when I PULLED UP on the lever (towards the ceiling), the leaking stopped and has remained stopped, no matter what setting the lever is turned to.

The water coming out of the steam nozzle is clear but fromthe brew head it is milky looking. I have descaled

That's ok .
The water from the steam nozzle is straight from a boiler.
Where as the brew head is fed from another boiler via the brew unit,so you will still have some coffee in the system.
If you wanted to you can rinse the brew head by making preground coffee without coffee this will flush it clean.

Water leaks from bottom of Saeco Caffe Charisma when brewing

Remove brew chamber, check the back of the white plastic valve make sure the chamber under it is clear of coffee grounds and water, then check the red o-ring on the brew chamber make sure there are no cracks or damaged spots.

Water not getting through

If you look under that white nozzle you will notice a small hole that leads to the drain tray, clean out hole and the area or small enclosure around the white nozzle (clogged with coffee grounds), and make sure that if you pour a little water in that enclosure it goes to the drain tray. That will solve the water under machine problem.
For the amount of water from the coffee nozzle, check brew unit, you will have to remove the shower screen and clean, make sure that the unit is not clogged in one of the tubes.

Water coming out of steam nozzle not coffee output when making coffee

Sounds to me there might be a blockage on the brew unit, and since the pressure is so high it is going through the bypass. Clean the screen and tubes on the brew unit.

Where do I locate the fuse for the steam nozzle of the Gaggia Classic? - the coffee brews but no steam will come out to froth up -I was advised it was probably the fuse -all othe rparts have been cleaned

If the coffee brews hot then the problem is a blockage on the steam valve nozzle or line. Try removing steam wand and opening valve to see if it works, if it does the problem is in the wand that has been removed. Dismantle parnello and using a paperclip clear out the hole in the end of the steam wand.

It doesn't have enought pressure to brew the shots. The coffee just drips out

The first time I used mine I had the same problem. Try making sure the brew selector is not too far to steam selection. If that doesn't work make sure the basket with the espresso in it is not too tight.

No instruction on how to prime a saeco caffe charisma machine. looked in the book that came with it but there is no instructions for this process

Prime = letting some water out from the water/steam nozzle. Priming means that the machine has not water in the lines. By letting water come out, you are making sure that water fills all the components and is ready to use.
