Question about RCA P52926 52" Rear Projection Television
I have a 52-inch RCA Big Screen TV (rear projection) that I won 13 years ago. The other day I noticed that after the television is on for a little bit, and watch able, I then lose the picture; the screen turns blue and has white squiggly lines through it. Can't watch it, but IT DOES still have sound. Any suggestions BEFORE I have to contact a repairman to come take a look at and repair? Thank you for your help.
Tv worked great, turned it off one day and back on the next and the on light would not come on nor would the tv work, rear projection 52 inch rca

Rear projection tv's from 13 yrs ago used three high power CRT's to project the picture. Due to the high power and light output of the CRT's, it wears pretty ******* the tubes. Honestly 13 yrs sounds like a pretty good life on a big screen. You might check into repairs, but the cost would probably rival that of a new comperable HDTV.
