Four stroke 50 horse outboard suzuki not quite as good as my mercury but a bit cheaper and quite a good engine by fellow boat owners down the marina where my boat is moored ,well not sure off hand but most engine will run quite happily on 12th inlet and 14 exhaust so i think if you use these setting you will not be far out ,so long as their is gap on the tappets so you dont burn the valve seats out then thats ok ,yes i know all about valve overlap and some engines will use small inlet and a big exhaust gap but come on this is only on old racing or GT type engines where the camshaft wasnt always in spec ,some engine do have the same settings on both inlet and exhaust i know that as well ,but 12 and 14 will do 90% of engines ,now as its a outboard change your engine oil every year and the lower drive gearbox as well you can use a hypoid EP90 same as a car for this as that fancy dealer so called special stuff is so expensive for what it is .i have had my mercury for 10 yrs now and i change the oil in both every year and iam still on the original spark plugs ,must change the timing belt before long soon as well though .
