You will probable need to format the blank discs first before it will let you record on them.

I JUST BOUGHT a Samsung dvd sr 150m without remote control and when I put a dvd or any disk, after a long time of loading, it bring a message that this disk cannot be played or recorded.

If you're using DVD's made on a computer, the session has to be closed before it will play on anything other than the computer that made it. You can pop the cover and clean the lens with alcohol and a swab. This might resolve the problem. Replacement lenses are not available. My 4 year old Sony RDR gx 300 burns fine on old Memorex , Fuji DVD R s but bought some new DVDs by memorex and Maxell and both won't formatt . It gives the message that disk is dirty or disk error ....

The laser on your drive is probably beginning to go out of alignment.
A plastic grub screw holds the laser carriage at the correct angle on the slider rods. Over time, this screw will get worn down and the laser carriage will begin to lean too far over to one side. This grub screw will need to be tightened slightly to bring the carriage back to the correct angle. I suggest turning it a quarter of a turn (clockwise) and testing it. Repeat a few times until it works correctly.

Even if you have the correct disk and the correct setting in the recorder, if the CPRM tag in the broadcasted program is set to deny all recording then your recorder will not record it. Sadly but it's just that simple.

Trying to record on dvd, using dvd-r dut says unknown disc what to do?

Hi

This is a comon one, RW Disks do all look similkar but, they do have diferent letters at the end of the name and if you have not bought the correct coded disk, your RW wil not recognize is. Sugest you read your manual and check what exact disks you need and check the pack you have bought.

Dmr-ES30V Dvd plays pre record movies fine but I

Try a different brand of blank dvd+r or -r. you will find that your dvd machine is fussy on what discs it plays. More exspensive dvd players are fussy with what dvd discs you put in, as cheaper dvd players would virtualy play most types of dvds.

It shows disc problem on every disc I put in it

Please check you have the correct region code and that matches the code on the dvd`s you are trying to play.
Have a look in your manual they list cd`s that won`t play.
Another thing has it not been used for sometime, or been in a cold room , bring it into a warmer room ,plug it in and leave on for 2 hours and it should remove any moisture..

You may need dvd- disks instead! ( it usually one or the other!) and if your player does take a DVD+ you might have to change brands of disks ( I know this sounds stupid but all disks are not created equal! and do not work in all players!

Dvd recorder formatting problem

#1
Insert your ( memory card , flash disk , cellphone , .... ) into your computer.
#2
Open up 'My Computer'. You should see it under the list of available drives.
#3
Check its contents first to make sure that you have the right drive.
#4
In 'My Computer', right-click on the drive and choose 'Format'.
#5
Leave all the options as they are and click on 'Start'. This is a non-reversible process so make sure this is what you truly wanted to do in the first place.
#6
Once the process is completed, take the memory card out and insert it into your Digital Camera or any other device. Try to browse to it to make sure it works fine
