Question about Estate Washing Machines

1 Answer

I have just bought a used, 6 year old, Estate washing machine. I have it all hooked up in my apartment and have already had to troubleshoot many problems, namely it flooding my laundry room. Now, I can't get the water that is in it to drain at all. It has been sitting in the machine for almost 24 hours now. I have tried all different settings and cycles, and they all stop after agitating and it just sits there. I am close to calling someone to come look at it, but I thought I would try this first to hopefully save some money.

Ok I suspect you have a broken lid switch. I have just bought a - themobilian_122.jpgSwing up the controls and first check the water level switch for: pinch tubing. tubing not connected, blow out the sediment in the tubing from when you moved the machine. Make sure that tubing is tight on the switchNext check the lid switch connectionthemobilian_124.jpgLook for it to be plugged into the lid switch on the case of the washer. In my hand there is 3 wires to that switch 2 hot wires and one green ground wire. Jump them 2 hot wires and see if it will spin or pump out. How to swap out that lid switch:

How do you clean the estate heavy duty 8 cycle 2 speed washing machine

You stop using the disgusting liquid detergent that is causing the stench, first off, switch to Powdered Detergent, then leave the lid up when you aren't using the machine. 6 months from now it will be fine, otherwise, you can disassemble the washtubs and scrape the liquid detergent residue of everything with a putty knife... Option 1 is better, trust me.

Delicate cycle fills with water but will not agitate

Timer needs cleaning on the delicate relays (points) in the delicate position. Maybe timer failure. Transmission stuck, jammed or failing in that wash mode

Wash Machine Drainage problem

i am a recently retired appliance engineer of 20 years, slowing down the flow of water from any electrical washing appliances can be dangerous and will cause extensive damage to the appliance in question, at the very least it will stop half way through the cycle every time the only way to remedy this is to rectify the drain, or at least sort out another waste water outlet sorry
