Question about Magellan MAESTRO 3100 98083401 GPS Device
Hello everyone, i will like to suggest a few important troubleshoot points related to Battery Problems with this Magellan Gps units,
1- broken dc jack- this will be inside the Gps Charging Pin Terminal - most common one
2-Gps must be program to " Never Turn off", this is a battery saver selection,(customer user end)
3- No output from Car Power Supply
4- Defective Battery not holding a charge will stay at no more than 3,8 vdc(3 bars of battery diagram)
5-wires,terminals,conntacts, are taped and they dont fail, unless someone touches it.

Did you push the reset button on the side with the unit running?
that seems to keep mine on and I'm hopeful that it is recharging.

BertM, I had the same problem and also do not use it frequently enough. The unit finally gave way about 7-8 months. I am hoping that Magellan will honor their warranty and find it's bad battery. I am awaiting an RMA. Visit following site for help:
