Good Day;
The base is attached by four, inset, allen screws on the back of the unit, bottom. The 'key' word is INSET (recessed).
Good Luck, Day, Big Irish.

How do we remove the base stand from the lcd-32xr8da so we can wall mount it

There are 4 screws connecting the base to the tv on the 40xbr. didnt check to see if its the same with the 32 inch. the base connects to the tv (on the bigger one) via two prongs both with 2 screws in it, look for the screws and you're all set.

How do I take the stand off of the TV? (For wall mounting)

There will be clips or screws on the back of the TV which will need to be removed and the base stand will slide out of the bottom of the TV. Do NOT start taking screws out of the back of the TV without the wall mount with instructions. Sometimes there are spacers that need to be used with the wall mount and generally only four screws need to be removed from the TV. The TV should have instructions on how to prepare the TV for a wall mount as well. All are different, but very similar to do. If you lay the TV face down on a soft surface (do not slide it around) you probably can see what screws need to be removed to remove the TV base. Keep the screws with the stand for later use if desired because you will need them to re-install the case later. Here are two examples;

I hope this helps and good luck!

Cant find how to remove the stand on our newly purchased Soniq QSL323CT1 anywhere in the manual. We are trying to mount it on the wall.

Hi,
1. Disconnect all cables.
2. Cover a level and stable surface with a thick and soft cloth.
3. Gently lay the TV, face down, onto the cloth. Make sure the Table-Top stand is hanging over the edge.
4. Rotate the cable holder 90 degrees, and pull it out completely.
5. Remove the screws (3 or 4 in rear next to cable holder, depending on which model wall-mount kit you have) being sure to hold the Table-Top-Stand firmly while removing the last screw.
6. Do not remove any other screws from the TV.
They also say not to remove the stand for any reason other than wall-mounting the TV. Their should be instructions with the wall-mount kit.
Hope this helps!
Thanks
Smith.

No screws for wall mounting 42 inch tv

any hardware store will have them bring your tv manual with you it will tell you the spec on the screw to connect to the 4 pre existing nuts on the back of the tv as far as from the mount to wall it will be a standard lag bolt small enough to fit threw the hole and long enough to go threw the drywall and about an inch and a half of the studd 2" to 2 1/2" inch lag bolt will work

How do we mount our Panasonic Plasma tv on a tv stand?

Panasonic Plasma TVs come with a detachable base. For wall mounting it is not used, but you will need to find and attach it for use on a TV stand.

Remove base from TV

Remove 4 screws holding the vertical metal bracket in place. These are located just above the bottom of the rear centre of the TV. The bracket will then slide out.

You might find it easier to remove the footplate first. Simply remove all screws from the bottom of the base. The metal plate and the plastic shield will then detach.

At Sam's club you can buy what is called a "Plasma" floater for about $77 that lets you mount your LCD or Plasma on the back of the unit, raise it up and keep it much more out of the way of kids:

(search under "Urban Loft 60" Entertainment Console" at Sam's club to find it)

The floater can be purchased seperate from the console table. AND it will work with the Whalen console I bought at Costco (I called Whalen and they confirmed it will work, it has all the right mounting brackets installed already).

(search under "Whalen Furniture Plasma Floating Mounting Bracket" at Sam's club).

Could drill some holes into the base of the stand and secure it to what ever you have it sitting on.

tie down strap that prevents tipping. You have to secure the strap someplace with a self tapping wood screw and the other end of the strap connects to the base of the TV.
