Powers off while plugged in

I have a dell latitude D630 that powers off while it is plugged up. I have switched power cords and I still get the same problem. Do I have a lemon?

Does it powers off why you are using it??

if it does, then you have a CPU overheating problem.

Dell LATITUDE d630 Static noise

You may want to reinstall the audio driver into the system to see if that will resolve the issue. Another step to try is to plug the system directly into a wall outlet bypassing any power strips or surge protectors to see if that could be causing this to happen if is not already plugged.in.

Laptop powers on and in a few second powers off.

Have the DC jack in the laptop checked, this is a common problem from no power, to intemittent, and startup and shutdown issues, the laptop must be taken apart in order to get at the DC plug on the motherboard, it may need to be replaced or resolded.

My pc battery shows red color when it is on power

If the battery shows a red color and it stays red even when the Power Cord is plugged in, then either the Power Cord is not charging the battery or the battery is completely dead and needs to be replaced.

The battery only has a useful life then it must be replaced because it will not hold a charge.

If you are able to use your laptop with the AC Adapter and Power Cord without any problems then the power cord must be ok and the issue is with your battery.

I have dell d630 it turn on but not display anything what is the problem

If the unit powers up and it seems to work except for the screen, hook a external monitor to the video output usually on the back, if picture is present! the laptop has issues. But if both screens show the same symptom the problem is in the video graphics card.

D630 Powers on but not booting

Are you getting the DELL logo, or post screen when you start it?Since this is a laptop, is it possible that you might have touched the short cut key that changes your display to the vga port on the back of the laptop? Try holding the function key down, while pushing the screen switching key. If you don't have your manual to tell you what keys these are, you can look on line at the DELL site. It will tell you. Assuming you have access to another pc to do so.

The power cord should have a power brick it connects to, on this it should have a green light. If it's on then there is power if not then the fuse is probably gone or the adaptor has been damaged in the latter case send it back.
If the light is on then when you plug it into the power socket of the latitude it should light up a small led on the top right of the laptop. If this doesn't happen then the laptop is damaged and you should send it back.

D630 docked , ext mouse & kybd not responding

If the docking station has power:

Make sure power is off for both the laptop and the docking station. Plug your keyboard and mouse into the docking station. Dock the D630 to the docking station and then power on docking station. This should then turn on your D630. Your D630 should detect the keyboard and mouse.

If the docking station has no power:

Verify that the power cord, AC adaptor, etc. is plugged in. If the items listed seem to be in order,
there may be a problem with the power going into the docking station. (AC adaptor?)

support.dell.com will have the specific details for your D630 and your docking station, et al.

Please let me know if you have success in this.
