It's probably dirty. Try saturating a cotton swab with rubbing alcohol, then swab the female end of the cord and immediatly push on and off the fryer pins a few times, then let dry and test. This should do the trick.

How to repair a short it a power cord on a front loading washing machine

have you checked the three places the power cord is bolted into the washing machine? if a nut is loose that could be causing the problem. If you have a shorted cable I would recommend buying a new cable they aren't that hazard!

I had to replace a old cable it had a short.! Got a new one nothing happen.!it not charging period.!

Please tell us the make and model number so we can help. Normally a charger does not have a replaceable cable to the laptop - only the AC cord to the power plug can be replaced. I've purchased replacement adapters and the AC power cord doesn't work correctly in the adapter unless I push it in very hard or wiggle it to make a connection. Some replacement adapter also have a plug to the laptop that is not sized like the original and also needs to be wiggled to make a connection. Please provide the information if you still are having problems.

Why my vacuum cleaner intermittently starts and stips while cleaning The dirt bag is not full.

The most likely cause would be a short circuit in the cord. Let the machine sit running in one place without moving it, and wiggle the cord to see if this is the problem. If it is, the cord will need replacement.

Left side of headphone is partially working; I have to bend at a certain agle so I can get audio coming out. However right side is working perfectly

This is caused by a short circuit in the cord. If you can establish the location of the short by wiggling the cord back and forth in various places you might be able to cut the wire and splice a new length yourself. If you are comfortable with opening the case of the side that the cord connects to and it is obvious how to remove the casing, you should see the terminals inside for connection of the individual wires. You can replace the cord with a new one by soldering the 3 individual wires in place.

Note: Be sure to code the placement of the 3 wire terminals when you remove the old wires. This way you will not have the positive wire connected to the negative terminal, etc.

Laptop will not charge. After wiggling the cord

That's a short in the power input section of the motherboard- I've found, much to my dismay, that the power input/charging circuit on these laptops is not a separate circuit board as it is on some other models, but is a small area of the motherboard itself. You'll either need to have someone repair the motherboard or replace it entirely.

LG DLE2514W Power does not stay on. Power cuts

If you move the cord @ the outlet and the dryer shuts off replace outlet if the prongs on the cord are not damaged.

If you wiggle at the dryer side and it shuts off un plug the dryer remove acess cover and inspect end of cord. Ck. and make sure terminal nuts are tight. and not burnt due to a loose connection.

This can happen if you have an intermittent short in your cord. Try plugging it in and then wiggling the cord around where it goes into the body of the vacuum with the switch set to "on." (If you're not sure whether it's on or off, just click it back and forth occasionally.)
If the motor kicks on there's a short, which usually requires a cord replacement. If that's the case, it's a relatively simple fix for most dyson models.
If not, you could have a short in your switch or somewhere else in the electrical system of the machine.
