Question about Zenith XBV243 DVD Player/VCR
Ok so i was trying to fix somethign with it..and so i clicked setup on the remote that came with the dvd/vhs and then i like clicked some other thing and then a thing poped up saying "PROGRESSIVE SCAN MODE"
so then i was like clicking setup and nothing would come up. so then i turn up the volume and i could here my dvd running its just i oculdnt see wat was happening. PLEASEEE HELP MEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i wanna watch my one tree hill on dvd!!!!!!!!!!! THANKS SOO MUCHH!!! <33
I've had the same problem. Press and hold the 'stop' button down on your remote for five seconds (make sure you've clicked 'setup' off) until the main play screen (in my case the opening play screen for my Zenith player) appears. You'll be fine after that. Just stay away from the 'progressive scan' - it's a feature you probably don't need, anyway.

Tips for a great answer:
Progressive Scan Video provides the highest resolution
pictures with less flicker and line structure
If you are using the COMPONENT/PROGRESSIVE
SCAN VIDEO OUT jacks, but are connecting the
DVD/VCR Receiver to a standard (analog) television,
set Progressive Scan to Off
If you are using the Component Video jacks for
connection to a TV or monitor that is compatible with a
progressive scan signal, set Progressive Scan to On.
To ON and OFF this function, Press "Setup" to display the setup screen.
Surf through, and hilight "Progressive scan" and press "Ok or Enter"
Here you can set this function ON or OFF. If you wnat to get it OFF, select OFF and press Enter.
