Try pushing the OUTPUT SELECT button on the DVD remote.
This button Cycles through the 3 main output views:
DVD, Tuner and VCR.

SOURCE: stuck with progressive scan mode

I've had the same problem. Press and hold the 'stop' button down on your remote for five seconds (make sure you've clicked 'setup' off) until the main play screen (in my case the opening play screen for my Zenith player) appears. You'll be fine after that. Just stay away from the 'progressive scan' - it's a feature you probably don't need, anyway.

How Do i Fix My Latop That is in Safe Mode ?

If it won't boot to windows try this.

For Windows XP
Go to start, click run, type msconfig and hit enter. Click the startup tab, uncheck all boxes there, click apply, click ok. Restart

For Windows Vista/7 Go to start, in the searchbox, type msconfig and hit enter. Click the startup tab, uncheck all boxes there, click apply, click ok, and click restart.
This will stop all programs (and possibly malware) from loading on Windows normal more startup, in case something is causing it to crash

I have a Toshiba SD-590KV2, I hit the Default setting under the Misc setup and the picture flips up like there is no horizontal hold. I disconnected it for a while but same thing happened. How can I fix...

I just did the same thing...
Using your remote press the keys in the following order:
1. Setup
2. Down Arrow
3. Right Arrow
4. Down Arrow
5. Down Arrow
6. OK
7. Up Arrow
8. OK
9. Left Arrow
10. Ok (After this the screen should be legible)
11. Press OK one last time to save the setting before it reverts to the PAL setup and you have to do all of this again.
Good Luck!

I had sound yesterday. left on all night - no sound today

Sounds like you did hit a button on your remote. More than likely it's an audio button on the remote. This button typically selects an audio track on the dvd itself. It's either this or somehow during setup you've selected (depending on the rest of your audio setup) either the bitstream or PCM output for sound. I would just try hitting the audio button until you get something, or go into your dvd setup and try changing from either bitstream or PCM to the other choice.

Polaroid LCD has Flourescent Lights and a Blurry Screen

okay I just got mine to work. All I did was: click menu on my remote control, go to setup, go to the very bottom where it says "Default" and press ok on the remote. Everything went back to the default settings and worked.

If the audio still doesnt work, go to menu, audio tab, down to MTS system and hit right or left on the remote to change the audio setup.

Actually I already tried that

Try another way around, right click your sound card in device manager and click update driver; forcing it to look wherever you have the setup.exe stored on your pc, the file you are using is probably not a manual setup, but has the required .ini or .dll file required for your card.
